Clopay National Accounts (Storefronts Division) is seeking a proven Strategic Sales Manager with a strong background in outside B2B sales, specifically within the commercial door industry. This role is responsible for driving growth through national account development, with a focus on both new construction and retrofit projects across commercial, retail, and industrial markets. This person should excel at developing contractor and end-user relationships and has the ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects from lead to close.


  • Fully remote with up to 50% travel to client meetings, project site visits, and periodic travel to Plains, PA.
  • Quarterly in-person meetings along with clients within the National Accounts.
  • Base salary is between $80,000 - $85,000, annually, with a commission structure included.


Responsibilities include:

  • Drive revenue growth through new national account acquisition in the commercial door market
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients across multiple verticals, including construction, retail, and industrial sectors
  • Work collaboratively with internal Sales Operations and Project Management teams throughout the full project lifecycle
  • Present Clopays value proposition to contractors, architects, facility managers, and procurement teams
  • Create and deliver tailored proposals, presentations, and product solutions
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and support the growth of existing accounts
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive offerings to stay ahead in the market
  • Utilize CRM tools to track sales pipeline, activity, and account progress


Required Qualifications:

  • 58+ years of outside sales experience in the commercial door, access systems, or related building materials industry
  • Proven track record in national account management and project-based sales
  • Managing current clients as well as creating and building a book of business from the group up
  • Experience selling through contractor networks and directly to commercial end-users
  • Familiarity with construction documents, architectural plans, and project timelines
  • Skilled in managing long-cycle sales and coordinating across multiple decision-makers
  • Experience with dock doors; hoods, shelters, bumpers, restraints, dock levelers, etc.,


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferred (Business, Construction Management, or related field)
  • Strong knowledge of commercial door systems, including storefront and industrial applications
  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and strategic in sales planning
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and drive alignment across project stakeholders
