Job description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract role is available for a Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) providing telespeech therapy services to a fast-paced school district in Desoto, TX. This position requires delivering online therapy to students with a caseload typically ranging between one and two schools, including elementary and high school settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual speech-language therapy sessions utilizing teletherapy platforms.
  • Manage a high caseload efficiently while ensuring quality care.
  • Maintain detailed timelogs weekly for supervisory approval.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to support student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Comply with school policies regarding attendance, including non-paid breaks.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Texas Speech-Language Pathology license required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
  • Prior experience with teletherapy (telespeech) in an educational setting.
  • Familiarity with educational special needs systems (ESPED or similar IEP management software).
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced school environment.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time commitment with 37.5 hours per week.
