What You Will Do:
Focus on engineering, building, and maintaining shared platform capabilities, data pipelines, applications, workflows, automations, and governance tools within Palantir Foundry. This role will support multiple projects and applications by improving platform visibility, accelerating governance and product decisions, reducing duplication, and identifying opportunities for reuse and standardization.

  • Create reusable platform capabilities that support multiple projects and application teams.

  • Build governance, monitoring, logging, alerting, and portfolio-level views that improve visibility into platform activity, performance, risks, and dependencies.

  • Develop automations that streamline governance reviews, approvals, product change requests, data quality checks, and other platform processes.

  • Support automated detection and monitoring of sensitive data, including personally identifiable information.

  • Coordinate across projects to identify conflicts, dependencies, duplicated capabilities, and opportunities for reuse.

  • Review technical approaches and provide recommendations related to architecture, scalability, platform standards, and implementation risk.

  • Partner with data governance, operations, product, and engineering teams to translate business and operational needs into practical platform solutions.

  • Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend improvements.

  • Identify data quality and platform issues and advise the client on options to resolve or mitigate them.

  • Develop trusted client relationships and support business development efforts, including proposals, white papers, demonstrations, and capability briefings.


What You Will Need:

  • ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.

  • THREE (3) years of hands-on experience developing data, application, workflow, automation, or platform solutions within Palantir Foundry.

  • Hands-on experience using Foundry tools such as Code Repositories, Pipeline Builder, Workshop, Slate, Machinery, Ontology, Actions, and Functions.

  • Strong engineering background with the ability to design, build, review, and improve data pipelines, user interfaces, workflows, automations, and reusable platform capabilities.

  • Understanding of platform governance practices and observability.

  • Experience supporting performance monitoring and operational tooling within Foundry.

  • Experience supporting multiple projects or applications within a shared platform environment.

  • Understanding of relational database concepts and structures.

  • Ability to assess technical solutions and recommend improvements related to reuse, scalability, and platform standards.

  • Strong programming experience using Python and SQL, with experience developing data pipelines, automations, or applications within Palantir Foundry.

  • An acute attention to detail and ability to perform robust data quality checks.

  • Ability to detect data issues affecting the performance of data pipelines and devise techniques for resolving or mitigating them.

  • Ability to support remote, hybrid, and on-site projects in the DC metro area.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • SIX (6) years' experience in hands-on data engineering and/or database management.

  • Strong scripting or programming experience (PySpark preferred).

  • ACTIVE or ability to gain TOP SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance.

  • Experience designing reusable enterprise platform capabilities.

  • Experience building governance, portfolio management, compliance, or operational applications in Foundry.

  • Experience developing platform monitoring, audit logging, automated data quality, or sensitive-data detection capabilities.

  • Experience advising clients on Palantir architecture, platform governance, and implementation approaches.
