Remote Simulator information

How does a Remote Simulator typically collaborate with on-site engineers during simulation projects?

Remote Simulators frequently work alongside on-site engineers and technical teams through regular video meetings, shared simulation dashboards, and real-time communication tools. Collaboration involves exchanging data, troubleshooting simulation results, and adjusting scenarios to reflect real-world changes. Building strong communication skills and being proactive about clarifying requirements are key to ensuring simulations align with project goals. This remote setup allows for flexibility but also requires effective time management to accommodate different time zones and project schedules.

What are remote simulators?

Remote simulators are software or hardware systems that allow users to emulate and interact with complex environments or equipment from a distance, often via the internet. They are widely used for training, testing, and development purposes across industries such as aviation, healthcare, and software engineering. By using a remote simulator, users can practice procedures, test scenarios, or debug code without physical access to the actual system, increasing accessibility and safety. These tools are especially valuable for remote learning, distributed teams, and situations where access to real equipment is limited.

What is the difference between Remote Simulator vs Remote QA Tester?

AspectRemote SimulatorRemote QA Tester
Required CredentialsKnowledge of simulation software, programming skills, relevant certifications in simulation or software developmentTesting certifications (e.g., ISTQB), understanding of testing tools, basic programming knowledge
Work EnvironmentDeveloping and testing simulation models, often in software development teamsExecuting test cases, identifying bugs, ensuring software quality in various applications
Industry UsageUsed in gaming, training, automotive, aerospace industriesCommon in software development, gaming, and app industries

Remote Simulator roles focus on creating and refining simulation models, requiring technical skills in programming and simulation software. Remote QA Testers concentrate on testing software quality, identifying bugs, and ensuring functionality. While both roles involve software, their core responsibilities and skill sets differ, making them distinct career paths within the tech industry.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Simulator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Simulator, you need strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a relevant technical background—often in engineering, aviation, or computer science. Familiarity with simulation software, remote control systems, and sometimes certifications in simulation technologies are typically required. Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently are crucial soft skills in this role. These competencies ensure accurate simulation execution, effective troubleshooting, and seamless collaboration with remote teams to achieve project goals.

Job description

Job Description: Enterprise Software Sales Director – U.S. Department of Defense (DoD)

Company: 4C Strategies North America
Location: United States (Remote or Hybrid; travel required)
Reports To: Vice President, North America

About 4C Strategies

4C Strategies delivers mission readiness through advanced, data-driven software platforms used by defense organizations globally. Our flagship platform, Exonaut®, is trusted by NATO, U.S. Department of Defense agencies, and allied partners to manage training, operational readiness, and strategic decision-making. With over 20 years of proven impact, we empower senior leaders with real-time insights that drive mission success.

Position Summary

The Enterprise Software Sales Director – DoD is a senior, quota-carrying sales role responsible for closing multi-year enterprise software agreements across U.S. Department of Defense organizations, with a current focus on the U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Navy.

This role requires a proven enterprise sales professional with a military background who can navigate complex government acquisition environments, engage senior military and civilian leaders, and close high-value Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software contracts. This is a pure enterprise sales role, not a business development or capture-only position.

What You Will Do:

Enterprise Sales & Account Ownership

  • Own the full enterprise sales lifecycle—from opportunity qualification to contract award and expansion.

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans across DoD Services, Combatant Commands, and major commands.

  • Build trusted executive-level relationships with senior military and civilian stakeholders.

Solution Selling & Executive Engagement

  • Translate operational readiness into compelling software value propositions.

  • Deliver tailored demonstrations aligned with DoD training, readiness, and operational frameworks.

  • Position Exonaut® as a mission-critical enterprise platform for training, operations, and strategic readiness.

Government Sales Execution

  • Navigate DoD acquisition cycles, PPBE timelines, and multi-year procurement programs.

  • Support proposal development and capture strategy in coordination with internal teams.

  • Collaborate with legal contracts and program teams to close enterprise agreements.

Market Intelligence & Internal Collaboration

  • Partner with pre-sales, product, and delivery teams to align customer needs with platform capabilities.

  • Monitor DoD modernization initiatives, readiness priorities, and competitive dynamics.

What Success Looks Like (12–18 Months)

  • A qualified enterprise pipeline across priority DoD accounts.

  • Multiple closed multi-year software contracts.

  • Recognition of 4C as a trusted readiness and decision-support platform within key DoD organizations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related discipline.

  • 5+ years of enterprise software sales experience with a documented record of closing complex, high-value deals.

  • Military background (officer or senior enlisted preferred) with deep familiarity with training, readiness, or operations.

  • Strong understanding of SaaS/COTS platforms and enterprise technology sales.

  • Established relationships or network within DoD or defense ecosystem.

  • Executive-level presentation, negotiation, and proposal development capabilities.

  • U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain a security clearance preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Former senior military officer or senior training/readiness leader.

  • Experience selling to government, defense contractors, or federal agencies.

  • Familiarity with readiness reporting systems, simulation tools, or C5ISR environments.

  • Experience with Shipley capture processes and proposal management.

  • CRM proficiency (Salesforce or equivalent).

  • Active security clearance (Secret or higher).

What We Offer

  • Direct ownership of strategic DoD enterprise accounts and revenue targets.

  • High visibility with global leadership and product strategy teams.

  • Competitive base salary with uncapped commission potential.

  • Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)).

  • Opportunity to shape DoD readiness modernization and national security outcomes.
