• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to understand their mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Facilitate regular therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based methodologies to promote recovery and emotional well-being.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and organizational protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement positive behavior support plans aimed at enhancing client outcomes.
• Actively participate in licensing and accreditation processes to uphold the highest standards of care.
• Serve as a liaison with state agencies, community organizations, and service systems to facilitate resource sharing and support for clients.
• Engage in continuous personal and professional development, attending relevant conferences, workshops, and training sessions to enhance your expertise.
• Promote the mission, vision, and philosophy of the Shelby County Counseling Center within the community and professional networks.
• Perform related duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support the operational and strategic goals of the counseling center.

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals seeking assistance with emotional and mental health challenges, as well as those recovering from substance use disorders. You will be instrumental in providing therapeutic support to individuals with varying needs, including those with developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries. Your ability to relate to clients with empathy and understanding will significantly impact their journey toward healing and self-sufficiency.

• A Master’s Degree in the mental health field is required.
• An independent LMHC license is mandatory to practice in Massachusetts.
• Demonstrated experience in providing mental health counseling and support services is preferred.

• Experience working with a diverse clientele, including those affected by substance use, developmental disabilities, and trauma.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and methodologies.
• Possession of skills in using evidence-based treatment modalities and assessment tools.
• Background in team-oriented work settings, contributing to collaborative care initiatives.
