Job description

JOB DETAILS
Department: IS&T Technology Enablement
FTE: 1.0 (80hours per pay period)
Shift(s): Days
Location: Remote (with occasional on-site visits based on business needs)

Purpose of this position: Under limited supervision, this position coordinates consultations with internal customers to analyze, design, develop and maintain the technical application systems to support business needs. Responsible for translating business requirements into technical system specifications for the application teams within the IS&T department. Consult with end users on how to effectively use functionality. Provide recommendations to management on process improvement, new processes tools and techniques or services. Provide on-going support to end users.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identifies and defines business, functional, and interface requirements
  • Processes new service requests from the analysis and definition of customer requirements
  • Constructs workflow charts and diagrams
  • Troubleshoots production issues, provides system resolutions and recommendations for business process change
  • Validates resource requirements, develop cost estimate models, and gain sign-off from stakeholders
  • Communicates with internal IT providers of hardware, software, and network requirements
  • Improves current systems by studying practices and designing modifications
  • Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Implements, tests, and deploys solutions to business problems
  • Follows incident, change, and release management processes
  • Manages projects by developing project plans and monitoring performance
  • Responsible for supporting the analysis, configuration, maintenance, testing, training, and support for cloud and computer based corporate application system upgrades, new releases, optimization, and implementations for the organization
  • Works with the business to develop and execute a roadmap that aligns with HHS' strategy and standards. This role will entail leading and fulfilling project management tasks for key projects
  • Collaborates with business owners to analyze complex issues or pain points and generate options that will ultimately lead to planning, design, and implementation of solutions
  • Translates business requirements into technical requirements and works with development teams to implement custom solutions within existing applications/architectures
  • Develops test cases/scenarios
  • Provides regular and/or off hour on call support as scheduled
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6 years' relevant experience
  • Associates of Arts (AA) or Bachelor's degree

  • An approved equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to collaborate and bring teams together
  • Experience developing technical/systems design specifications and building system solutions
  • Experience executing risk mitigation plans
  • Interpret vendor technical documentation as pertains to Hennepin HealthCare's environment/infrastructure
  • Demonstrated ability to spearhead resolution of team related issues
  • Functional knowledge of Supported Applications
  • Project Management expertise
  • Ability to assist with developing cost benefit analysis
