This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a UX Researcher, Data Analyst & Optimization Specialist based in Netherlands.

This role sits at the intersection of UX research, data analytics, and digital optimization, helping teams make smarter decisions through evidence-based insights.
You will transform user behavior data into actionable recommendations that improve customer experiences and business outcomes.
The position combines quantitative analysis with qualitative research to uncover not only what users do, but why they behave that way.
You will build journey maps, analyze conversion funnels, measure customer value, and support experimentation strategies.
Working closely with UX, design, and development teams, you will help create impactful improvements across digital experiences.

Accountabilities:

The UX Researcher, Data Analyst & Optimization Specialist is responsible for creating the analytical and research foundation behind optimization initiatives. This role combines data expertise, user research, experimentation, and cross-functional collaboration to identify opportunities and support impactful digital improvements.

  • Build and maintain detailed customer journey maps and conversion funnels across key user touchpoints.
  • Analyze user behavior to identify friction points, drop-off areas, and opportunities for improving digital experiences.
  • Conduct quantitative analysis using tools such as Google Analytics 4, Shopify analytics, and related data platforms.
  • Develop and maintain LTV cohort analyses to connect user experience improvements with long-term customer value.
  • Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and integrity when collecting, validating, and interpreting performance insights.
  • Apply statistical principles to evaluate findings and ensure recommendations are supported by meaningful data.
  • Plan and conduct qualitative research activities, including usability testing, heuristic evaluations, and user interviews.
  • Combine qualitative and quantitative insights to create a complete understanding of user behavior.
  • Create research artifacts such as user flows, journey maps, wireflows, and prototypes to communicate findings.
  • Collaborate with developers to implement event tracking, improve measurement infrastructure, and maintain data visibility.
  • Support GA4 funnel creation, custom event tracking, and ongoing tracking quality assurance.
  • Contribute to A/B testing programs by defining hypotheses, measuring outcomes, and analyzing business impact.
  • Evaluate the long-term effects of UX changes on conversion, retention, and customer value.
  • Develop clear reports, dashboards, and presentations that transform complex analysis into actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with UX, design, development, and project teams to move insights into implemented improvements.
  • Manage multiple projects and deliver research and analysis according to business priorities.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical expertise, UX research capabilities, and communication skills. They should be comfortable working with large datasets, conducting user research, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • 4-7 years of experience in e-commerce, UX research, product analytics, data analysis, or similar fields.
  • Strong experience with Google Analytics, Shopify ecosystems, and A/B testing platforms.
  • Solid understanding of quantitative analysis, statistics, and data visualization techniques.
  • Experience with journey mapping, funnel analysis, and LTV cohort analysis.
  • Knowledge of experimentation best practices, including hypothesis development and test design.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and design thinking methodologies.
  • Ability to combine qualitative and quantitative research methods to solve complex problems.
  • Experience creating reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate insights effectively.
  • Ability to create UX artifacts such as wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and wireflows.
  • Experience collaborating with developers, designers, and project management teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a structured and analytical approach.
