Job description

Amerhart, an SBP Brand, is currently looking for a Retail Channel Sales Associate to join our VALUES based organization. The Retail Channel Sales Associate will be based out of the Chicago, IL area and report to the Sales Manager in our Sun Prairie, WI branch and will create demand for products in the Retail Dealer Channel. The Associate and the team will help to drive new growth in support of sales and operations. The ability to understand our business will be a major key to success in the role. We will provide an opportunity to collaborate, partner and take initiative.
The Associate will prospect and generate new business, cold call on new opportunities to meet and exceed revenue goals. There will also be an opportunity to conduct training, host in store tabletop displays and offer technical support for dealer yards and builders across the SBP footprint.
This role will have a visible presence with Pro Desk teams and key location team members.
  • This would be covering the Chicago area Lowes/Home Depots
  • Eligible candidates must live in the Chicago, IL area. (or less than an hour away)

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Provide Samples, Literature, product training and display materials as needed
• Prepare and deliver sales proposals/presentations and follow up with key decision makers
• Calling on Pro Desk at retail locations on a consistent basis
• Call on key customer Outside Sale Reps that sell and quote larger projects
• Track open Home Depot Quote leads and give feedback to Sales Manager
• Communicate with the Inside Sales, Sales and Branch Manager as needed.
• Weekly updates with Sales Manager on what has transpired in the territory with key store targets.
• Provide in store training and attend trade shows.
• Basic Knowledge of Building Material Take Off systems and Process
Required credentials:
• Minimum 2 Years Sales and or Customer Service Experience
• Must live in the Chicago, IL area.
• Preferred Basic Building Materials or Construction Knowledge
• College degree preferred, but relevant work experience may be considered.
