Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales Assistant to support the sales team with quoting, order processing, customer communication, documentation, and internal coordination. This position may also provide remote support to other company locations as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist the sales team with preparing quotes, sales orders, and related documentation
- Follow up on open quotes, customer requests, and outstanding information
- Coordinate with production, purchasing, shipping, and other internal departments to support customer orders
- Enter and maintain accurate customer, quote, and order information in internal systems
- Manage document control activities and maintaining customer and project documentation
- Organize and maintain quality records and other required documentation
- Assist with basic reporting using Microsoft Excel
- Provide remote administrative and sales support to other company locations when needed
- Provide general administrative and sales support to the team as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or similar business environment
- Previous experience supporting a sales team, customers, orders, or administrative processes is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable communicating with customers by phone and email
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ERP systems, CRM platforms, document management systems, or estimating software is a plus
- Familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software and internal systems
