Job Description

Lead the medical team that helps veterans win the benefits they've earned — from anywhere in the U.S.

At True Vet Solutions, every claim we file changes a veteran's life. Our medical team is the engine behind it: we review the records, connect each condition to a veteran's service, and build the evidence that gets them the disability rating they deserve. We're looking for a leader to run that team.

This is a fully remote, full-time leadership role for someone who knows medicine, knows how to build a team, and wants their work to mean something. You won't just manage a queue — you'll own the department, set the standard, and directly shape outcomes for the people who served.

What you'll do

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of medical claim specialists
• Set the quality standard for every claim the department produces
• Oversee medical record review and make sure no claimable condition gets missed
• Direct the medical rationale (nexus) that ties each condition to a veteran's service
• Oversee DBQs and independent medical opinions
• Build the processes and standards that let the team scale
• Partner with our Intake, Packet, and Appeals teams to move claims cleanly to the VA

What we're looking for

• A strong medical background — clinical or medical-records depth (RN, LPN, PA, NP, physician, military medical / corpsman / medic, or an experienced medical records reviewer or coder)
• 3+ years leading and managing people, with direct reports
• A track record of raising a team's performance
• Working knowledge of the VA disability benefits system
• Sharp medical writing and real attention to detail

Bonus points for

• Direct VA disability claims experience (a claims firm, VSO, or the VBA / VHA)
• Fluency with DBQs, nexus / IMO letters, 38 CFR, presumptives, and the PACT Act
• A veteran or military background — you understand who we serve

Compensation & benefits

• $75,000–$100,000 per year, based on experience and credentials
