Job Responsibilities Are you a contracts expert who thrives on navigating complexity, building strong site partnerships, and driving timelines forward? Syneos Health is seeking a Senior Site Contracts Manager to support a sponsor‐dedicated program focused on high‐impact Pharma & Vaccine studies. If you're energized by problem‐solving, negotiation, and leading projects across multiple therapeutic areas—especially oncology we'd love to meet you. Key Responsibilities Budgeting & Template Development Negotiate budgets from start to finish from a Sponsor perspective directly with clinical sites. Fully understand budget and contract language for Pharma & Vaccine clinical trials. Develop and refine templates to support consistency, compliance, and strategic study needs. Contract Negotiation & Risk Management Lead direct negotiations with large academic institutions and other critical stakeholders. Draft and finalize clinical trial agreements that balance business objectives with legal and operational protections. Conduct due diligence checks—such as FMV assessments and site justification reviews—when initial offers are declined. Determine when requests require budget or language escalation and secure appropriate approvals. Project Leadership & Delivery Prioritize and lead multiple contracting projects across several therapeutic areas (oncology experience strongly preferred). Proactively escalate risks, timeline impacts, or delays that could affect CTA execution. Tools, Systems & Communication Demonstrate expert proficiency in Excel and clinical trial management systems. Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats, incorporating feedback seamlessly. Maintain accurate and timely updates in departmental trackers and databases. Compliance, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Deepen and maintain knowledge of GCP, sponsor processes, SOPs, work instructions, and new technologies. Build strong working relationships with internal and external partners. Support and train additional team members as needed. Contribute to process improvement initiatives that simplify workflows and eliminate inefficiencies. Take on ad‐hoc tasks and diverse projects with a solutions‐oriented mindset. Preferred Qualifications Oncology therapeutic area experience Prior experience with pharma, CRO, or investigative sites Strong project management skills and comfort leading cross‐functional efforts Experience leveraging AI in the contracts and budgets space What You Bring (Minimum qualifications) 4+ years of experience working in a fast paced and volume driven work environment Direct experience negotiating with large academic institutions Ability to juggle priorities, lead projects, and deliver results under tight timelines Strong understanding of clinical study protocols, timelines, and site‐related milestones (e.g., SIV) Bachelors degree Additional Job Description Additional Job Description Minimum of 4 years experience Provides expert guidance to develop detailed specifications and negotiate content of clinical trial agreements that are robust, timely, and add significant opportunity for value generation to the business while minimizing legal, operational, and financial risk during the contract life cycle. Participates in creating and delivering solutions for simplifying work practices to increase productivity and reduce waste. In the event the contracting party does not proceed forward with the initial offer the Contract Manager is responsible for performing due diligence checks which includes but is not limited to Fair Market Value and review of site justifications. Determine if the contracting party's requested changes warrant a budget and/or language escalation and to seek the appropriate approvals. Escalate delays, impact to timelines, or risks that limit the ability to deliver a fully executed CTA within the timelines specified. The Contract Manager should be very proficient in excel and other clinical trial management tools. Demonstrate effectiveness in both oral and written communication. Effectively express ideas and incorporate feedback into deliverables to generate quality output. Continuously development of knowledge of GCP, sponsor guidelines, SOPs, Work Instructions, Ways of Working, new technologies and capabilities. The Contract Manager should have experience with clinical study protocols and study timelines and milestones (i.e. SIV). Leads and supports diverse projects and initiatives as needed. Effectively builds and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Drives a culture of trust, respect, transparency, and accountability. Timely and accurate updating of all departmental databases and trackers. Ad hoc requests as needed. Train and support additional team members as required.
