Job description

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll lead the delivery of complex mechanical engineering projects within refining, chemical, terminal, and power generation facilities while serving as a trusted technical advisor to clients and project teams. You'll oversee mechanical engineering efforts from concept development through detailed design and project execution, providing technical leadership on facility upgrades, maintenance projects, balance of plant (BOP) systems, piping systems, and other critical infrastructure initiatives.

In this role, you'll lead mechanical engineering activities across multiple concurrent projects, working closely with Project Managers, Directors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with client expectations. • Experience with balance of plant (BOP), facility upgrades, and/or maintenance projects involving piping systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in mechanical design and full-cycle project execution.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively work with clients, project teams, and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
  • Experience with tank and pressure vessel analysis and design.
  • Experience with fired equipment, including boilers, heaters, and similar process equipment.
  • Experience performing pipe stress analysis using Caesar II.
  • Experience conducting hydraulic analyses for process and utility systems.
  • Experience leading quality reviews and mentoring junior engineering staff.
  • Consulting engineering and/or client-facing project experience.
