Senior Network Solutions Architect

Location: Remote | Northeast U.S.


A growing IT Solutions Provider is seeking a Senior Network Solutions Architect to join its pre-sales engineering team supporting enterprise and mid-market customers throughout the Northeast.


You'll play a key role in helping customers evaluate, architect, and modernize their Cisco networking environments while partnering closely with Account Executives from initial discovery through solution design. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys designing enterprise networking solutions, leading technical discussions, and serving as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process.


We're looking for someone with a strong Cisco networking background and previous experience working within a VAR, MSP or IT consulting organization. Experience across Cisco enterprise networking, along with technologies such as security, data center, collaboration, or cloud infrastructure, is a plus.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical advisor throughout the sales process
  • Partner with Account Executives on customer strategy, technical discovery, and solution development
  • Design enterprise Cisco networking solutions including routing, switching, wireless, LAN/WAN, and SD-WAN
  • Lead customer workshops, architecture discussions, and technical presentations
  • Develop solution designs, scopes of work, and technical proposals
  • Support RFPs, RFIs, proof of concepts, and technical evaluations
  • Present technical recommendations to IT leadership and executive stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Professional Services to ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to implementation
  • Stay current on Cisco technologies and emerging networking solutions


What We're Looking For

  • Experience as a Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Consulting Engineer
  • Previous experience working within a VAR, MSP, Systems Integrator, or IT consulting organization
  • Strong experience designing and architecting enterprise Cisco networking environments
  • Expertise with routing & switching, wireless, LAN/WAN, and SD-WAN
  • Cisco CCNA required
  • Cisco CCNP or CCIE strongly preferred
  • Experience with Cisco Security, Meraki, Data Center, Collaboration, or adjacent infrastructure technologies is a plus
  • Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, and consulting skills
  • Must be based in the Northeast with the ability to travel regionally as needed
