Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to serve as the technical lead for our global enterprise network infrastructure. This role combines hands-on engineering, architecture, operational leadership, and team mentorship responsibilities across a geographically distributed organization with offices throughout the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.
The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise across enterprise networking technologies, strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities, and the ability to lead network modernization and standardization initiatives. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the operational stability, security, scalability, and performance of our global network environment.
This position reports directly to the SVP of IT Operations and will serve as the lead engineer for all network-related technologies and operational success.
Essential Functions:
  • Network Engineering & Architecture
    • Design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure across a global multi-office environment
    • Lead network architecture initiatives, technology evaluations, and standardization efforts
    • Design and support secure connectivity solutions including SD-WAN, VPN, cloud networking, and site-to-site connectivity
    • Develop scalable network strategies supporting Azure and OCI-hosted enterprise services
    • Drive continuous improvement of network reliability, resiliency, and security posture
  • Operational Support & Incident Response
    • Maintain operational ownership of enterprise network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and core routing
    • Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex network and connectivity issues
    • Respond quickly and effectively during critical outages or service-impacting incidents
    • Serve as an escalation point for major incidents and high-priority troubleshooting efforts
    • Participate in occasional after-hours escalation support as required
  • Leadership & Team Management
    • Lead and mentor a small team of offshore junior-to-mid-level network engineers
    • Coordinate operational activities to ensure effective global coverage outside of U.S. business hours
    • Establish operational procedures, standards, and documentation practices
    • Foster accountability, technical growth, and strong customer service within the network engineering function
    • Collaborate with SME peers to support cross-functional initiatives
  • Security & Infrastructure Integration
    • Manage firewall architecture, policy design, implementation, and troubleshooting
    • Support enterprise authentication and access control technologies including TACACS, RADIUS, and Cisco ISE
    • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams to support enterprise initiatives
    • Ensure network configurations align with security and compliance standards
  • Documentation & Process Improvement
    • Create and maintain high-quality network diagrams, operational documentation, standards, and procedures
    • Develop repeatable deployment and troubleshooting processes
    • Identify automation opportunities and operational efficiencies where appropriate

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • 8+ years of progressive enterprise network engineering experience
  • Proven experience serving as a senior or lead network engineer within a global organization
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Cisco networking technologies
  • Experience with Cisco ISE or comparable network access control platforms
  • Meraki infrastructure
  • Fortinet firewalls and security solutions
  • Arista switches and wireless access points
  • Deep understanding of: BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, TACACS, RADIUS, VPN technologies, SD-WAN, enterprise Wi-Fi design and troubleshooting, and packet capture and inspection tools
  • Experience supporting cloud networking environments, particularly Microsoft Azure
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud connectivity and enterprise WAN architectures
  • Strong troubleshooting methodology with the ability to think critically under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills
  • Experience leading projects and influencing technical direction

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master's degree preferred

Experience:
  • This role is highly hands-on and requires both strategic thinking and operational execution
  • 8+ years of progressive enterprise network engineering experience
  • Proven experience supporting stable, scalable, and secure global network operations.
  • Experience reducing operational risk and driving standardization across multiple office locations.
  • Demonstrated leadership managing and developing offshore network engineering teams.
  • Strong ability to partner effectively with infrastructure, security, and business leadership teams.
  • Experience responding to and resolving critical incidents and operational challenges in a timely and effective manner.

Other Skills:
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation and scripting tools such as: Terraform, Python and Ansible
  • Experience working within financial services, private equity, or similarly regulated environments

Travel Requirements:

Compensation:
  • Base Salary: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00
  • Compensation is subject to change based on experience and location hired.
  • Base salary only includes the base annual wage; base salary does not include other forms of compensation, such as commissions or bonuses.
  • Base salary also does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with this advertised job, such as: employer-provided insurance, paid or unpaid time off work, the availability of or contributions towards retirement or savings funds, such as 401(k) plans, severance pay or overtime pay.
