You are a skilled test engineer who enjoys building automated frameworks, breaking down complex requirements, and translating them into robust test strategies. What you will do:
  • Evaluates, recommends, and implements automated test tools and strategies.
  • Designs, implements, and conducts test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met.
  • Develops, maintains, and upgrades automated test scripts and architectures for application products. Also writes, implements, and reports status for system test cases for testing. Analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports.
  • Serves as a subject matter specialist providing testing knowledge for the support of user requirements of complex to highly complex software/hardware applications.
  • Directs and/or participates in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development with emphasis on analysis of user requirements, test design, and test tools selection.
  • Designs, plans, creates, executes, and provides SOS test reports.
  • Reviews government test plans and test reports for technical competence, effectiveness, and compliance with standards.
  • Observes and evaluates the execution of customer acceptance test activities.
  • Performs integration activities involving developed application software.
  • Identifies and documents problems and issues, providing specific guidance on root-cause and remediation.
  • Analyzes the requirements for each test event and shall assist in the scheduling of the SOS non-operational environments test assets.
  • Supports and assists in the execution of FBI-conducted security certification testing of SOS systems and components.
  • Supports the presentation and formal review or audit of test results, providing briefing and decision support material.
  • Using FBI-supplied software configuration management control tools, accepts developed software code and integrates the code into builds (i.e., incremental releases) to support test, integration, deployment, and cut-in to operations activities.
  • Maintains and provides controls for multiple test software and hardware baselines.

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks that improve test coverage, efficiency, and repeatability.
  • Consistently identify, document, and help remediate defects early in the development lifecycle, reducing production issues and improving overall software quality.
  • Deliver accurate, thorough, and timely test plans, test cases, test reports, and testing metrics that support program milestones and customer objectives.
  • Successfully support system integration, customer acceptance testing, security certification testing, and release activities while ensuring compliance with FBI and program standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with developers, engineers, government stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues, improve testing processes, and support successful system deployments.
  • Maintain high-quality software and hardware test baselines, ensuring configuration control, traceability, and readiness across development, test, and operational environments.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives by enhancing automation capabilities, increasing test efficiency, and improving overall product quality and customer satisfaction.

What you bring
We require:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of work experience.
  • Active Tier 3 Secret clearance.
  • Experience working within an Agile Methodology
  • 6 + years' experience with test automation
  • 6+ years' experience with test scripting
  • Demonstrated working experience with ReadyAPI to include initial configuration and setup
  • Demonstrated working experience with Groovy scripting
  • Experience with Java and JavaScript language to support basic troubleshooting in a development and cloud environments
  • Experience with, or willingness to rapidly learn how to navigate IBM DOORS software product for necessary legacy requirements reference
  • Experience with Git/GitHub execution
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience with Red Hat OpenShift
  • Experience with Elastic, Kabana, and/or Granafa
  • Basic Spreadsheet manipulation (Excel for example)
  • Atlassian Suite for work tracking (Bitbucket, Confluence, Jira, etc.)
  • Kubernetes (Basic understanding is useful)
  • AWS (Basic understanding is useful)
  • Microsoft Outlook and Teams for communication
