As the Senior Manager of Software Engineering for the PharmScript application team, you will lead the modern transformation of our core application platforms. Our team is focused on migrating legacy, older-generation technologies into a high-performance, modern architecture utilizing Go (Golang), SQL Server, and Azure. In this role, you will be both a strategic leader and a hands-on technical architect, driving end-to-end development processes while designing and deploying innovative, intelligent solutions. If you are passionate about combining robust hands-on development with state-of-the-art AI-assisted tools to rebuild enterprise-scale platforms, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a massive impact on the future of healthcare pharmacy technology.


You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a high-performing software engineering team, establishing functional strategies, development plans, and engineering priorities
  • Direct hands-on software development and modernization efforts, migrating legacy application code to a modern Go (Golang), SQL Server, and Azure infrastructure
  • Design, develop, and deploy intelligent, AI-powered solutions to solve complex business challenges, with an emphasis on the responsible use of AI
  • Use enterprise-approved AI tools and modern automation techniques to streamline workflows, optimize software development lifecycles, and drive continuous operational improvement
  • Evaluate emerging technology trends, cloud capabilities, and AI advancements to inform solution design and lead strategic innovations
  • Identify and resolve complex technical, operational, and organizational problems across team boundaries
  • Make product, service, or process decisions that have a broad impact on internal business functions and external customer accounts

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of additional software development experience
  • 5 years of software engineering leadership or managerial experience, managing technical teams and driving organizational priorities
  • 5 years of hands-on software development experience, including expertise in Go (Golang) and relational databases like SQL Server
  • Experience designing, building, or deploying AI-powered applications, automation features, or integrating advanced machine learning capabilities into software systems
  • Experience owning an end-to-end development process and establishing functional, market-level, or site strategies and priorities
  • Proven experience identifying and resolving complex technical, operational, and organizational problems outside of your immediate team
  • Track record of making product, service, or process decisions that significantly impact entire business functions and/or customer accounts


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted coding tools to improve engineering velocity and code quality
  • Deep expertise in Azure cloud-based deployments and database optimization

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
