Greenlight Financial Technology
1 - 10 employees

$75K - $115K/yr

Full-time

Job description

Greenlight is a family technology company on a mission to help families raise financially smart kids and navigate life together. Its suite of products — including the Greenlight app, debit card, Safe Family GPS trackers, and Family Hub — brings together financial tools, safety features, and everyday family management in one connected experience. Designed for busy families who want convenience without compromise, Greenlight continues to innovate alongside the evolving needs of modern life. Today, more than 6.5 million family members trust Greenlight to stay in sync.

At Greenlight, we're here to make the day-to-day easier and futures brighter, so families can spend less time managing life, and more time living it. That's why we get out of bed every morning.

We are looking for a Senior Creative Strategist to lead the thinking behind our creative. This person will own the strategic point of view that shapes every brief, turning internal data and cultural signals into a clear creative direction our editors and creators can run with. You'll be the person in the room asking "why this, why now, why does it matter to our audience".

This is a strategy focused role. We need someone who can look at performance data, platform trends, and audience behavior, and translate that into sharp, actionable briefs.

Your day-to-day:
  • Write creative briefs autonomously, grounding every recommendation in internal performance data and emerging online/cultural trends
  • Develop a clear strategic rationale for each brief: what we're making, who it's for, why it will work, and how we'll know
  • Accurately assess and analyze performance data (content, campaign, and platform level) to identify what's working, what's not, and why
  • Translate analysis into forward looking recommendations
  • Partner closely with editors to prioritize and champion strong visual strategy, giving clear feedback rooted in strategic intent
  • Help ensure the "why" behind a creative choice is understood, not just the "what"
  • Identify and help source content from creators, evaluating fit against brand and campaign strategy
  • Work directly with creators to ensure output aligns with the brief and Greenlight's voice
  • Partner with the internal brand team on asset exchange and alignment, ensuring creative stays consistent with broader brand strategy
  • Act as a strategic connective tissue between data, brand, editorial, and creator relationships
What you’ll bring to the team:
  • 5+ years of experience in creative strategy, content strategy, or a related role, ideally with exposure to both data analysis and creative production
  • A track record of writing briefs that lead to creative work, not just documentation of requests
  • Strong analytical skills; comfortable in data/analytics tools and confident drawing conclusions from them
  • A sharp eye for visual strategy and the ability to give editors direction that improves the work
  • Experience sourcing or managing creator relationships/content
  • Excellent collaborator able to work across brand, editorial, and creative teams and keep everyone aligned to the same strategy
  • Strong written communication; briefs need to be clear, persuasive, and easy to act on
  • Self starter who can work autonomously and drive briefs from insight to output with minimal oversight
Nice to have:
  • Experience in fintech, family finance, or consumer subscription products
  • Familiarity with short form/social content trends and platform specific creative strategy
  • Experience working with creator/influencer networks at scale
Work perks at Greenlight:
  • Medical, dental, vision, and HSA match
  • Paid life insurance, AD&D, and disability benefits
  • Traditional 401k with company match
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Paid company holidays and pop-up bonus holidays
  • Professional development stipends
  • Mental health resources
  • 1:1 financial planners
  • Fertility healthcare
  • 100% paid parental and caregiving leave, plus cleaning service and meals during your leave
  • Flexible WFH, both remote and in-office opportunities
  • Fully stocked kitchen, catered lunches, and occasional in-office happy hours
  • Employee resource groups
Greenlight provides a competitive compensation package with a market-based approach to pay and will vary depending on your location, experience and skill set. The total compensation package for this position will also include a discretionary performance bonus, equity rewards, medical benefits, 401K match, and more. Greenlight conducts continuous compensation evaluations across departments and geographies to ensure we are keeping our pay current and competitive.

Who we are:
It takes a talented team to aim for a mission like ours. We're looking for people who ask "is it bold enough?" People who bring their real selves to the table and push the people around them to do the same. We win by never hesitating to jump in, offer a hand, or share the credit, because we know we're stronger together than apart. And through all of it, the mission stays the thing we measure ourselves against: are we doing right by the families counting on us? If that sounds like your kind of team, we'd love for you to apply.
