• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to identify the needs and challenges of patients during intake and throughout their treatment journey.
• Develop and implement tailored individualized treatment plans that incorporate solution-focused and evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.
• Maintain clear, thorough, and timely clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational guidelines, which allows for continuity of care and streamlined future engagements.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team consisting of medical professionals, psychiatrists, and counselors to optimize therapeutic strategies for each patient.
• Provide ongoing education and emotional support to patients and their families, equipping them with the tools and knowledge needed for recovery and relapse prevention.
• Engage in continuous professional development by staying current on mental health research, treatment techniques, and best practices to enhance clinical skills.

The patients you will serve include individuals undergoing detoxification from substances, many of whom may also experience mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, or trauma-related issues. Your expertise and compassion will be vital in guiding these individuals through their recovery journeys, helping them navigate complex emotional landscapes and equipping them with effective coping mechanisms.

• A master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid LCSW license in the state of New York.
• Demonstrated proficiency in solution-based psychotherapy interventions and a strong theoretical foundation in clinical social work practice.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and empathize with a diverse client base.

• Previous experience working in a mental health or substance use treatment setting is advantageous.

• Experience in group therapy settings and facilitating educational workshops can enhance the role.
