This remote position provides the flexibility necessary to meet the demands of our clients in school settings throughout New Bedford, Massachusetts. • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments, gathering information about the mental health needs, strengths, and available resources of each client.
• Deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions employing evidence-based treatment modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy to address various mental health conditions.
• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals including psychiatrists and psychologists to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for clients.
• Craft and implement tailored treatment plans that set clear goals and actionable interventions aligned with each client's unique circumstances.
• Provide crisis intervention and acute risk assessment, ensuring that safety planning is in place for at-risk clients.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, adhering to ethical and legal standards in record-keeping.
• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions, psychoeducation classes, and support groups to enhance community connections and promote mental health awareness.

This role centers on supporting a diverse student population, addressing a wide range of mental health issues such as anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related disorders, and behavioral challenges. You will work closely with students to navigate their personal experiences and foster their social-emotional development, thereby contributing to their academic success and overall well-being.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Possession of an active state licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in mental health services, preferably in outpatient or school settings.
• Proficient understanding of various evidence-based therapeutic modalities and the ability to implement them effectively in practice.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to assess clients' needs and establish rapport.

• Experience working with adolescents and their families within educational environments.
• Familiarity with school systems and resources available for mental health support.
• Active participation in ongoing professional development and training programs.
