Job Summary

We are seeking a Salesforce Solutions Architect to provide technical ownership and leadership for our Salesforce ecosystem, ensuring the platform remains scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise priorities. This role defines solution architecture, establishes platform standards, and enables consistent delivery across internal teams and implementation partners.

This is a hands-on execution leadership role that partners closely with business leaders, engineering teams, and external vendors to translate priorities into well-designed solutions and drive work through completion. The Salesforce Solutions Architect removes delivery roadblocks, ensures high-quality releases, and maintains strong operational discipline across platform design, configuration, development, automation, integrations, and release governance.

The role will also strengthen architectural maturity through clear patterns, reusable standards, strong documentation, and consistent governance. The Salesforce Solutions Architect is accountable for platform health and delivery outcomes, with a focus on speed, consistency, reliability, and long-term supportability as Salesforce continues to scale across the organization.

ResponsibilitiesSolution Architecture & Delivery
  • Own end-to-end Salesforce solution architecture, ensuring designs are executable, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with platform standards. Lead technical design and working sessions, provide direction across configuration, automation, custom development, and ecosystem connectivity, and serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex Salesforce and cross-system decisions.
  • Drive technical decisions, remove ambiguity and delivery roadblocks, and ensure solutions are designed and implemented correctly while supporting efficient execution and measurable business value.
Strategy, Planning & Architectural Direction
  • Provide strategic, technical, and operational leadership for business and technology transformation initiatives, translating business capabilities and requirements into solution architectures aligned with business strategy, technology standards, and platform guardrails.
  • Define and document functional and non-functional requirements in partnership with business and delivery teams, including performance, scalability, security, monitoring, supportability, and operational readiness.
  • Promote reuse and standardization to accelerate responsible delivery and reduce long-term complexity. Stay current on emerging Salesforce capabilities, architecture patterns, and industry best practices and recommend practical adoption based on business outcomes.
Platform Standards, Governance & Quality
  • Establish and enforce Salesforce platform standards and reference patterns covering configuration, metadata and naming conventions, automation strategy and guardrails, development standards and code quality, environment strategy, and release discipline.
  • Create and maintain architecture artifacts, including reference architectures, solution patterns, system models, workflow diagrams, data model standards and documentation, architecture decision records, and design guidelines.
  • Validate solution compliance with established standards and architectural intent, and maintain solution review processes that reduce rework, improve stability, and increase delivery consistency.
Data, Integrations & Platform Reliability
  • Own Salesforce data model strategy, including object design, relationships, data integrity, field strategy, lifecycle management, validation rules, and extensibility patterns, ensuring the architecture supports reporting reliability, analytics readiness, and consistent operational outcomes.
  • Define integration patterns and standards connecting Salesforce with enterprise systems. Partner with integration teams to establish stable connectivity, clear ownership boundaries, monitoring, error handling, and cross-system designs that avoid duplicated logic and enable consistent business process execution.
Security, Compliance & Risk
  • Own Salesforce security architecture standards, including sharing models, roles, permission sets, and data visibility controls. Partner with security stakeholders to ensure solutions align with enterprise security requirements and audit expectations.
  • Proactively identify architectural risks and drive mitigation plans that prevent production instability, security concerns, and unnecessary rework.
Vendor Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Provide technical direction and oversight to consulting partners and external delivery teams, reviewing solution designs and implementation work for quality, scalability, maintainability, and standards compliance while driving accountability for risks, gaps, and delivery outcomes.
  • Partner directly with business leaders to understand objectives, establish success criteria, and drive decisions. Work closely with internal teams to ensure requirements are actionable and aligned with scalable design standards, and support delivery teams through planning, execution, release readiness, and post-go-live supportability.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of overall IT experience, including:
    • 6+ years designing and delivering distributed systems, integrations, or middle-tier solutions.
    • 5+ years of Salesforce platform experience across configuration, data modeling, automation, security, and delivery leadership.
    • 4+ years in Solution Architecture, Salesforce Architecture, or a comparable technical leadership role.
  • Salesforce certification(s) required. Relevant certifications may include Application Architect, System Architect, Integration Architect, Data Architect, Sharing and Visibility Architect, Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II, or other applicable Salesforce credentials.
  • Proven ability to lead architecture across multiple initiatives and drive execution that delivers business value, including experience leading at least one end-to-end Salesforce implementation with enterprise system integrations and supporting an established Salesforce implementation through change requests, optimizations, and new feature delivery.
  • Strong technical depth in Salesforce platform architecture and configuration standards; data modeling, validation, and lifecycle governance; automation patterns and Flow strategy; security and access model design; and custom development concepts including Apex, APIs, and asynchronous processing where applicable.
  • Demonstrated experience designing Salesforce integrations with enterprise systems using APIs and middleware/iPaaS patterns, along with the ability to analyze complex cross-system issues and drive resolution through collaboration and architectural clarity.
  • Strong documentation discipline, including the creation and maintenance of technical design artifacts, standards, and architecture diagrams, combined with experience working in Agile delivery environments and applying strong release governance and operational readiness practices.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and release tooling, including Jira, Azure DevOps, and Git-based CI/CD, as well as knowledge of common testing methodologies and quality assurance practices that support stable releases.
  • Experience working in regulated or control-driven environments such as ITGC, PCI, HIPAA, or similar, with strong understanding of change control and traceability.
  • Experience with multi-org strategies, Salesforce org consolidations, or large-scale segmentation patterns.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience architecting CRM platforms in a high-growth, multi-business-unit environment with competing priorities and shared governance.
  • Proven delivery of Salesforce at scale, including multi-org, segmentation, or consolidation strategies supported by strong platform guardrails.
  • Experience building and enforcing mature DevOps and release management disciplines.
  • Background in data governance and reporting readiness, including object strategy, lifecycle rules, and analytics enablement.
  • Experience operating in control-driven environments with strong change control, traceability, and audit-readiness practices.
  • Prior leadership of vendors or consulting partners, with demonstrated ability to drive accountability, quality, and predictable delivery.
  • Experience with performance and scalability tuning and operational monitoring practices that support production stability.
