Position Overview

Thrive Space Counseling Services is actively seeking a dedicated Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our innovative and multicultural telehealth team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide impactful mental health care remotely, utilizing technology to reach a diverse patient population from the comfort of your own home.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing our therapists to provide care through telehealth platforms. You will engage with patients via video calls, maintaining flexibility while adhering to a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Although the schedule may require some adjustments to accommodate patient needs, our organization supports work-life balance and encourages open communication regarding availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that honor each patient's unique background and experiences, leading to tailored treatment plans.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques in both individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring interventions are culturally relevant and sensitive.
  • Implement crisis intervention techniques effectively, providing immediate support during mental health emergencies.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to create integrated care plans that benefit patients holistically.
  • Offer educational resources to patients and their families, enhancing their understanding of mental health issues and available support systems.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development opportunities to promote cultural competency and continuous improvement.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus on serving a diverse array of patients, including those from ethnic and cultural minorities, as well as LGBTQ+ individuals and immigrant communities. You will be instrumental in providing mental health services that resonate with the cultural contexts of your clients, thereby enhancing their therapeutic experience and outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid state license as one of the following: LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
  • A solid understanding of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities, including cultural competency in therapeutic practices.
  • Proven experience in delivering diverse therapy approaches, particularly in multicultural settings, will be highly valued.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills that promote rapport and trust with clients from all walks of life.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems and general computer applications, crucial for effective patient documentation and communication.
  • A demonstrated ability to uphold ethical guidelines and professional boundaries while engaging with clients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, fostering a supportive environment to maximize patient care.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in telehealth counseling services, particularly focusing on delivering therapy to diverse patient populations.
