Work Environment

This position is a remote role, allowing flexibility to work from home while ensuring the highest standards of patient care at our detox center. You will work within a collaborative environment, engaging with a multidisciplinary team that includes doctors, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals. While remote, your responsibilities will involve both synchronous and asynchronous patient interactions, tailoring your approach to suit various patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop customized treatment plans for patients facing mental health issues related to detoxification.
• Utilize evidence-based therapies such as solution-focused therapy, behavioral activation, and motivational interviewing to guide patients through their recovery journey.
• Collaborate closely with a range of healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to care, sharing insights and strategies to optimize treatment outcomes.
• Monitor and document therapy effectiveness, assessing patient progress against established treatment goals through regular follow-ups.
• Assist in the management of psychotropic medications, ensuring adherence and addressing side effects, alongside the medical team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on individuals undergoing detoxification, who often face significant challenges related to substance use and mental health. These patients require compassionate and skilled support to navigate their recovery, necessitating a deep understanding of behavioral health issues and a commitment to fostering a safe and supportive environment.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience working as an independently licensed therapist, preferably within a mental health or detoxification setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with behavioral therapies specific to detox and substance use treatment.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and telehealth platforms.

Compensation and Benefits
