Job description

Robert Half's marketing & creative client is seeking a Web Content Specialist for a 1+ month contract opportunity in the Greater Hartford area. This is a remote, 40-hour-per-week position; candidates must be willing and able to work Eastern (EST) hours. This role will support a busy marketing team by managing website content, publishing digital assets, and maintaining web pages within Optimizely CMS. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with content management systems, web publishing, quality assurance, and digital marketing best practices. Experience with email marketing platforms, including Pardot/Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, is a strong plus for additional projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, update, publish, and maintain website content within Optimizely CMS
  • Build and manage web pages, landing pages, and content templates
  • Ensure content accuracy, functionality, responsiveness, and user experience quality
  • Support website content initiatives and digital marketing campaigns
  • Conduct content audits and quality assurance reviews across the website
  • Troubleshoot content, formatting, and publishing issues
  • Partner with marketing teams and internal stakeholders on website updates
  • Ensure content aligns with branding, accessibility, SEO, and UX best practices
  • Monitor website performance and analyze content effectiveness
  • Maintain digital publishing workflows and content standards
  • Coordinate with designers and other stakeholders on web content updates


Additional Responsibilities (Email Marketing Experience Preferred):

  • Support email marketing initiatives and campaign execution, as needed
  • Assist with audience segmentation, email builds, testing, and deployment activities, as applicable
  • Degree in marketing, management, or related
  • 2+ years of website content management or digital marketing experience
  • Experience with content management systems; Optimizely CMS strongly preferred
  • Experience creating, updating, and publishing website content and landing pages
  • Understanding of web content best practices, accessibility, SEO, and UX principles
  • Experience with content QA, digital publishing workflows, and website maintenance
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Ability to analyze website performance data and identify trends
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities
  • Bonus: Experience with Salesforce, Pardot, Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, or similar email marketing platforms preferred
