Job Description

  • Manage a diverse caseload of real estate and civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, trials, and other litigation proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, regulations, case law, and factual issues.
  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, complaints, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.
  • Advise clients regarding legal strategies, risks, options, and practical solutions.
  • Handle landlord-tenant, commercial real estate, ownership/title, contract, lease, guaranty, and related disputes.
  • Communicate directly with clients and develop trusted professional relationships.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal support professionals to deliver timely, high-quality work.
  • Manage deadlines, case strategy, filings, and day-to-day litigation responsibilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Follow firm procedures while contributing ideas and judgment as the practice continues to grow.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Active California Bar license and good standing.
  • 10+ years of experience practicing as an attorney.
  • 3+ years of litigation experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analysis, advocacy, and client communication skills.
  • Commercial landlord-tenant or real estate litigation experience is highly valued.
  • California driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to occasionally attend meetings in Irvine.
  • Self-directed, professional, positive, and collaborative approach.
