SQL Database Administrator Location: Remote Interview Process: One round of Virtual Interviews Duration: 12 Months Employment Type: Contract Experience Required: 05+ Years Candidate location: Candidates MUST be a CURRENT resident in the Eastern Time zone. No relocation. Project Scope: The Database Administrator (Intermediate) will support enterprise-level reporting, analytics, and data management activities within a government healthcare environment.

This role focuses on designing, building, maintaining, and optimizing reports and dashboards using SQL, MySQL, and Power BI while working with large structured and unstructured datasets. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable data insights. Key Responsibilities: Reporting & Dashboard Development Design, build, maintain, and modify standard, ad-hoc, and scheduled reports using SQL and MySQL Develop and manage interactive dashboards using Power BI Extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple heterogeneous sources Work with large-scale datasets to generate business insights and reporting solutions Data Analysis & Insights Perform trend analysis, performance analysis, and predictive forecasting Apply data analytics techniques to support decision-making processes Interpret complex datasets and translate findings into meaningful insights for stakeholders Performance & Business Analytics Utilize performance metrics and analytics tools to build operational and strategic dashboards Support predictive and descriptive analytics initiatives Identify data patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement Stakeholder Support & Consultation Provide guidance to business users on metrics, reporting structures, and data interpretation Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and KPI definitions Offer consultation on effective use of data for business decision-making Documentation & Training Develop and maintain detailed documentation for reporting processes, data sources, and workflows Train end users and team members on reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics best practices Ensure proper knowledge transfer for all reporting solutions developed Data Management & Optimization Ensure accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of data extraction and reporting processes Optimize SQL queries and reporting performance for large datasets Maintain and improve existing reporting systems and data pipelines General Responsibilities Manage multiple priorities and deliverables effectively Work independently in ambiguous environments and define clear reporting requirements Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams across the organization Ensure compliance with government data standards and reporting guidelines Required Skills & Experience: 3+ years of experience in SQL development and querying 3+ years of experience in Power BI development 3+ years of experience working with large datasets in a government or regulated environment 3+ years of experience with Excel for data analysis and reporting Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Knowledge of medical terminology Preferred Skills: Health Information Exchange (HIE) experience HL7 messaging standards Experience with tools such as Mirth, SQL Squirrel, PACS, CIPS, NextGen EHR, or Epic Experience working with correctional or public health systems Strong background in healthcare data integration and reporting Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field OR equivalent professional experience.
