Job Description:

Orbital Engineering, Inc. is currently seeking an Asset Management Specialist with experience in CASCADE and ELECTRIC UTILITIES for a REMOTE WORK role for our Utility Services team to support the implementation of DNV Cascade 4 utility asset management software. Orbital Engineering’s Utility Services Department partners with Utility and Communication Companies in Engineering and Construction operations.

Essential Functions

  • Support the implementation of DNV Cascade 4 utility asset management software,
  • Support the development, execution, and ongoing management of utility asset management programs.
  • Serve as the primary technical and programmatic point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring alignment with client goals and operational priorities.
  • Support clients with long‑term asset management planning efforts and program optimization.
  • Develop training materials and best practives for client Asset Management programs.
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies, policies, and procedures
  • Train new users in the utilization of Cascade Asset Management software.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset records, including acquisition, disposal, and maintenance history.
  • Manage asset inventory and ensure that all assets are properly accounted for.
  • Develop and implement asset maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on asset performance and utilization.
  • Develop and implement asset disposal policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to other departments on asset management issues.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree from a four-year ABET accredited college or university with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering
    • 5+ years of experience in electric utility asset management or related field
    • Computer proficiency in DNV Cascade, Microsoft Office products, and business enterprise software
    • Experience or basic knowledge of concepts in the electric utility industry, including utility engineering, construction and maintenance standards
    • Understanding of basic engineering theories and principles
    • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to prioritize work on multiple projects and effectively communicate project status
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Reasoning skills and ability to solve practical problems
    • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/schematics
    • Ability to work from home and an office setting, as required
    • This position requires the ability to pass a post-offer drug (including marijuana) and alcohol test in compliance with Federal regulations and is also subject to random testing as a condition of continued employment.

      This is a remote position. Compensation is based on market data and internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s location.

      Salary Range:

      $80,000-150,000 annually (based on experience, qualifications, and location)
