Job description

Description
About K12 Coalition
K12 Coalition provides products and services that help K-12 schools and teachers achieve transformational learning outcomes. We tackle many of today's toughest education obstacles, including teacher certification, test preparation, professional learning, curriculum, consulting, and strategic planning. K12 Coalition came together when educators with deep experience as teachers, school leaders, and high-level district administrators observed a genuine need for something better. Our divisions include iteach, Passage Preparation, Professional Development Institute, Teaching Channel, Lavinia Group, and Keys to Literacy.
About iteach
iteach is a competency-based educator preparation program helping to fill the void the nation faces with the unprecedented teacher shortage. iteach offers state-approved educator preparation programs in multiple states, enabling recent graduates, career changers, paraprofessionals, substitute teachers, and others to earn their educator licensure through an affordable, flexible, and fully online pathway. Notably, iteach was the first educator preparation program outside of an institution of higher education to earn accreditation from the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
This is an interest posting and does not represent a current opening.
We review applications when an opportunity becomes available on our team. If your experience and qualifications align with our needs, a member of our team will reach out to you when an opening becomes available.
Employment Type:
  • Part-Time Variable
    • Less than 20 hours per week, with variable hours depending on seasonal demand
  • Non-Exempt
  • Hourly

Location: Remote, available from anywhere within the U.S.
The Opportunity
As an Instructional Coach at iteach, you will play a crucial role in supporting new teachers as they transition from the iteach alternative certification program into their first classrooms. New teachers entering the classroom for the first time benefit from your guidance as they develop their instructional skills and build confidence in their teaching practice.
In this role, you will provide targeted instructing, coaching, feedback, and mentorship to ensure these teachers develop the instructional skills and classroom strategies needed to succeed. Through online learning platforms, assignment feedback, discussion boards, and live coaching sessions, you will help bridge the gap between theory and practice, fostering a supportive learning environment where new teachers can refine their craft, address challenges, and celebrate successes. You will also facilitate the building of community within your cohort.
The Instructional Coach reports to the Manager, Coaching and Professional Learning.
If you are committed to empowering the next generation of educators and want to be part of a team that champions teacher success, we would love to hear from you!
What You'll Do
A small investment of your time can make a lasting impact on new teachers!
  • Flexible, part-time commitment with a mix of asynchronous and synchronous support.
  • Engage with new teachers through blended online coaching, discussion boards, and one-on-one support.
  • Provide meaningful feedback by grading assignments and offering constructive insights.
  • Host virtual huddle sessions via Zoom to facilitate collaboration and professional growth.
  • Support teachers for at least two semesters (as a coach, ongoing as an Instructor), ensuring they build confidence and competence in the classroom.

By dedicating just a few hours per month, you will help new teachers navigate their first year with the guidance, encouragement, and expertise they need to thrive. #LI-DNP
