About this role:

The SBA Franchise Loan Officer will play an integral role in supporting our lending efforts by working with internal and external referral sources, identifying new SBA Lending opportunities in the Franchise space, cultivating relationships with potential clients, and assisting in the SBA loan origination and underwriting process. You will work closely with the SBA Development and Underwriting team to promote SBA loan products while providing top-notch customer service to clients.


In this role you will
  • Support the Bank's "People First" focus and rules of engagement-maintaining a professional demeanor, working as an active member of the CNOB team, providing all clients excellent service, always striving to make CNOB "A Better Place to Be".
  • Manage, Evaluate, and process a pipeline of internally provided SBA leads in the Franchise space.
  • Evaluate Franchise Disclosure Documents
  • Analyze Loan packages including Business Tax Returns and Financial Statements
  • Evaluate internal loan referrals, Structure, Package and Process SBA eligible loans
  • Prepare and present SBA loan proposals internally and to clients and referral sources
  • Monitor the progress of deals and maintain a high level of communication with clients and referral partners throughout the loan process
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, referral partners, and industry contacts.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities for SBA loans.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and business opportunities within the SBA lending space.
  • Attend industry events, networking functions, and meetings as needed.
  • Stay current on guidelines, lending products, and industry trends.
Must haves
  • Strong "People First" interest and ability.
  • Knowledge of relevant Federal and State banking regulations.
  • Excellent knowledge of Bank's products and services.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in SBA business development, sales, or underwriting
  • Thorough understanding of SBA eligibility, federal banking compliance and requirements.
  • Ability to analyze business financial statements
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Franchise lending experience
  • Franchise analysis experience
