Baer is looking for SAP MM Consultant for a 9+ month remote project.

Overview
We are seeking an SAP MM Consultant to lead the functional design, configuration, and support of core Materials Management (MM) processes within the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) lifecycle. The consultant will work with business and technical teams to improve processes, resolve complex issues, and support cross-functional SAP integrations.
Description
  • Lead requirements gathering and fit-gap workshops for requisitioning, sourcing, purchasing, approvals, goods receipt, and invoice verification.
  • Configure and optimize SAP MM processes, including document types, item categories, account assignment, release strategies, pricing, output, and tolerances.
  • Troubleshoot complex MM issues and analyze integration points with FI, IM, QM, and SD.
  • Develop functional specifications for interfaces, enhancements, catalogs, supplier integrations, EDI, and tax/pricing integrations.
  • Work closely with technical developers on RICE development, testing, and defect resolution.
  • Lead end-to-end testing for MM processes, including negative testing, authorization impacts, and volume/performance testing.
  • Support data validation, process documentation, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Support cutover and hypercare activities, including open purchase order management and GR/IR reconciliation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend SAP best practices.
  • Provide functional support and knowledge transfer to business and technical teams.

Requirements
  • Strong experience with SAP MM and Procure-to-Pay processes.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP MM configuration and functional design.
  • Strong understanding of Purchasing, Inventory Management, Goods Receipt, and Invoice Verification.
  • Experience integrating MM with FI, IM, QM, and SD.
  • Experience with interfaces, enhancements, EDI, catalogs, and supplier integrations.
  • Strong testing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting SAP cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • SAP S/4HANA experience is preferred.
