Job description

GovSG is seeking a Navy ERP Functional Specialist will serve as the functional owner for core Material Management (MM) processes within an Agile Scrum environment. This role drives the modernization of the Navy's end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2Py) lifecycle by integrating the core Navy ERP system with the ePS (Electronic Procurement System) contract writing platform. You will own functional design, configure complex SAP MM processes, lead collaborative stakeholder workshops, and champion continuous process improvements to deliver audit-defensible, streamlined logistics solutions.
This is a remote position.
Position Duties:
  • Lead requirements and fit-gap workshops for requisitioning, sourcing, purchasing, approvals, goods receipt, and invoice verification touchpoints.
  • Configure and optimize MM processes: document types, item categories, account assignment, release strategies, pricing procedures (where in scope), output, and tolerances.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues using document flow and integration points with FI (Financial Accounting), IM (Inventory Management), QM (Quality Management), and SD (Sales and Distribution) as needed.
  • Define functional specs for interfaces and enhancements (catalogs, supplier integrations, EDI (electronic data interchange), tax/pricing integrations); partner with RICE developers through build/test.
  • Own end-to-end testing for MM scope: negative testing, authorization impacts, and volume/performance considerations.
  • Support cutover and hypercare: open PO management, GR/IR (goods receipt/invoice receipt) reconciliation approach, and stabilization.
  • Other duties as assigned
Position Required:
  • DoD Secret Clearance
  • Demonstrated experience working with SAP Navy ERP systems
  • Experience providing Tier 3 or advanced functional/technical support
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train diverse user groups
  • Understanding of Navy workflows and financial processes
Position Desired:
  • Familiarity with the Navy's ePS project
Salary: $128,000-$145,000. Actual compensation offered to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.

Why You’ll Want to Work at GovSG:
  • Competitive pay and benefits, including PTO and company matched 401k
  • Development opportunities through comprehensive training suite
  • Ability to make an impact supporting the warfighter
  • Opportunities to engage with the community through volunteering
