Key Responsibilities

• Conduct ethical and compassionate individual counseling sessions via video chat, ensuring comfort and confidentiality for clients.
• Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities, focusing on solution-oriented approaches to address the diverse needs of clients.
• Develop thorough and personalized treatment plans that are aligned with each client’s unique circumstances and goals.
• Facilitate insightful discussions to help clients gain a deeper understanding of their feelings and interpersonal dynamics.
• Track client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, emphasizing the development of healthy coping strategies.
• Collaborate with fellow therapists to share best practices and continuously improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at White Chair Counseling Center, you will work primarily with stable, low-acuity adults seeking support for a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and transitional life challenges. Your role will be instrumental in helping these individuals develop vital skills and tools that enhance their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy is required.
• You must possess one of the following independent licenses to practice: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• No provisional or limited licenses will be considered.
• A clean record, free of disciplinary actions and sanctions.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are a must, complemented by a sympathetic nature.
• Strong computer literacy, including familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health records.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working with adults in a counseling capacity is preferred.
• Proficiency in using virtual counseling technology is advantageous.
• A robust understanding of various therapeutic modalities will be beneficial.
