These roles can include administrators, developers, consultants, or marketers who use Salesforce’s cloud-based CRM platform to help businesses manage customer relationships and data. Remote Salesforce professionals leverage cloud tools to collaborate with teams, customize Salesforce applications, and provide support to clients. These jobs typically require a good understanding of Salesforce products and may also require specific certifications.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote Salesforce administrator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Salesforce Administrator, you need strong knowledge of Salesforce CRM, data management, workflow automation, and a Salesforce Administrator certification. Familiarity with Salesforce Lightning, reporting tools, and third-party integrations is typically required. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and self-motivation skills help you collaborate effectively and manage tasks independently in a remote environment. These skills ensure smooth system operation, user adoption, and business process optimization from any location.

Job description

Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an AVL Integrations Engineer to join the AVL Tech Team within EnFin's Offering Development organization to be the technical bridge between EnFin's equipment data systems and the third-party PV / BESS design and proposal platforms used by our TPO partners. The ideal candidate will have experience building and operating production API integrations with Salesforce, Airtable, and major solar / storage modeling platforms (Aurora, Solargraf, Solo, OpenSolar), and will be a hands-on power-user of those platforms — able to build proposals, run comparative simulations of Qcells products against competing offerings, and validate that the technical setpoints and loss factors flowing through the integrations produce correct production estimates inside each tool. Because those production estimates feed expected yield, customer pricing, NPV, and Fair Market Value (FMV) calculations, this role's accuracy work has direct financial-controls consequences. This position will work closely with the BESS/Inverter and PV/Racking Tech SMEs, the AVL Project Manager's pod, the SQT 2.0 / EnFin Partner Portal team, the Salesforce admin team, Team IRA, and external software vendors.

This position will be based out of our San Francisco, CA office with an in-office schedule set at the direct manager’s discretion in accordance with the company policies and procedures. Remote may be considered in exceptional cases.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, build, test, and maintain API integration pipelines that move equipment data from the Airtable AVL golden record into Salesforce's Master Equipment database and onward into the AVL / component libraries of third-party modeling platforms (Aurora Solar, Solargraf, Solo, OpenSolar); own the canonical schema mapping between EnFin's internal data model and each external system, including units, value enumerations, defaulting rules, and edge-case handling.
  • Build retry, dead-letter, idempotency, and reconciliation logic so Salesforce never drifts from Airtable and third-party libraries never drift from Salesforce; implement pipeline monitoring, alerting, and on-call runbooks; manage authentication, secrets, OAuth flows, webhook receivers, and rate-limit handling.
  • Maintain hands-on user proficiency in the major third-party modeling platforms and run side-by-side comparative analyses of Qcells modules, inverters, and BESS products against competing offerings inside each platform; quantify production differences, financing-economics differences, and model-induced artifacts so EnFin and Qcells leadership can see where Qcells products are accurately or inaccurately represented.
  • Validate technical setpoints and loss factors across module (Pmax, Voc, Isc, temperature coefficients, NOCT, degradation curves, PAN/OND files), inverter (efficiency curves, MPPT windows, clipping, derates), and BESS (round-trip efficiency, usable capacity, depth-of-discharge, AC vs DC architecture) parameters; ensure EnFin's standardized loss-factor stack is applied consistently across Aurora, Solargraf, Solo, and OpenSolar — and enforced automatically rather than via manual entry.
  • Treat the integration chain as part of EnFin's yield-and-FMV pipeline; provide validation evidence and traceability artifacts (model inputs, weather files, loss-factor configurations, version stamps) to Tax, Accounting, and Capital Markets when FMV models are challenged or audited; investigate yield discrepancies between modeling platforms and rule out (or confirm) integration / setpoint drift.
  • Maintain the Airtable AVL schema, validation rules, and automations that enforce data quality at the source of truth; build automated drift detection between Airtable, Salesforce Master Equipment, and each third-party library; own the data-contract documentation and CNR alias / effective-date logic.
  • Partner with the BESS/Inverter and PV/Racking Tech SMEs to operationalize their AVL decisions into running integrations; partner with the SQT 2.0 / Partner Portal team on equipment-data feeds and BOM validation logic; partner with Team IRA on data feeds, lineage, and traceability that underpin DCA / FEOC / Safe Harbor evidence.
  • Manage the technical and contractual lifecycle of API agreements with third-party software vendors (Aurora, Solargraf, Solo, OpenSolar) and with OEM partners providing data integrations — including credential and authentication lifecycle, OAuth scoping, rate limits and quotas, data-sharing terms, version and deprecation tracking, and renewal cadence. Coordinate with EnFin Legal, Procurement, and the AVL Project Management sub-pod on contract terms and partner-engineering escalations; work from the content requirements defined by the BESS/Inverter and PV/Racking Tech SMEs.
  • Build and maintain regression and smoke tests so AVL changes and platform-side library changes are caught before they reach production proposals; engage directly with third-party software vendors' partner-engineering teams to escalate library issues and shape API roadmaps; author integration documentation, schema mapping references, and SOPs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, software engineering, information systems, or related technical field; with a minimum of 8+ years of professional work experience including 5+ years building and operating production API integrations, with at least 2+ years working with Salesforce APIs (REST, Bulk, Streaming — Apex).
  • Hands-on experience with Airtable APIs and Automations in a system-of-record context (not just casual user); demonstrated working integration experience with at least one major PV / storage design platform (Aurora Solar, Solargraf, Solo, or OpenSolar) at the API or partner-engineering level.
  • Working proficiency with at least one ETL / orchestration platform (Workato strongly preferred given EnFin's stack; n8n, Zapier, Make, MuleSoft, or scripted equivalents acceptable).
  • Strong proficiency in Python and / or JavaScript / Node.js for integration scripting, data validation, and lightweight services; comfort with version control (Git), structured testing, and documenting data contracts.
  • Working knowledge of solar PV and / or BESS technical parameters and loss factors — enough to read a datasheet, understand what each value drives in a model, and recognize when something is wrong.
  • Strong written communication; this role produces SOPs, mapping references, and audit-grade documentation, not just code. Travel up to 15%.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Hands-on user proficiency in two or more of Aurora Solar, Solargraf, Solo, and OpenSolar — demonstrated by the ability to build a complete proposal, run comparative Qcells-vs-competitor simulations, and validate that production outputs align with EnFin's reference loss-factor stack.
  • Familiarity with PV yield modeling fundamentals (PVsyst, NREL SAM, HelioScope) and how loss-factor decisions propagate to first-year and lifetime production estimates.
  • Working understanding of solar finance economics relevant to FMV — how kWh production estimates flow into TPO revenue, NPV, ITC basis, FMV step-up, and depreciation.
  • Familiarity with NEM 3.0, TOU rate structures, and battery dispatch modeling under utility-specific tariffs.
  • Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Platform Developer I/II, Integration Architect, or Data Architect).
  • Experience with Domestic Content / DCA / FEOC / IRA §45Y / §48E workflows and the documentation chains that support them.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted content review, RAG-based knowledge tooling, vector stores (e.g., pgvector), and MCP integrations.
