Job description

Salesforce Developer (United States) - Remote | Pax8
🚀 Why this role is exciting
At Pax8, Salesforce sits at the heart of how we serve partners, scale impact, and keep innovating. In this individual contributor role, you'll shape platform design and architecture, deliver high-quality enhancements, and help align Salesforce tooling to real business needs. You'll also be part of a business accelerating its AI journey - joining at a moment where new starters grow alongside new technology, automation, and evolving platform capabilities.
🌍 Culture, values & where to learn more
We're a people-first, high-growth tech company where culture is business - and it IS personal. If you're curious, collaborative, and motivated by meaningful ownership, you'll feel at home here. Learn more about who we are and how we work on our US homepage (https://www.pax8.com/en-us/) and explore our mission, culture, and employee resource groups on the Pax8 About page (https://www.pax8.com/en-us/about/).
🧩 How you'll contribute
You'll partner with teams across the business to deliver Salesforce solutions that are scalable, secure, and built for long-term success.
  • 🧠 Architect solutions that translate business needs into strong Salesforce design patterns and platform best practices
  • 🛠 Build and enhance custom functionality using Salesforce development tools (e.g., Apex, Lightning Web Components)
  • 🔄 Automate workflows with Flow and code-based automation where it adds real value
  • 🔌 Integrate systems using APIs (including REST and SOAP) and middleware tools to connect Salesforce across the business
  • 🧪 Raise quality through code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) approaches
  • 🧭 Maintain and optimize platform performance, reliability, and key capabilities (including Agentforce and Data Cloud)
  • 📝 Document and enable by creating clear technical documentation and supporting team learning through guidance and training
🎯 The impact you'll make
Your work will directly improve how teams operate, how decisions get made, and how quickly Pax8 can evolve - helping ensure Salesforce is an engine for great experiences, smarter operations, and scalable growth.
What you'll bring
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical depth with a pragmatic, people-oriented mindset.
  • Substantial Salesforce development experience, delivering solutions in complex environments
  • Proven ability to design for scale - considering architecture, maintainability, performance, and security
  • Hands-on expertise building custom capabilities (Apex development, Lightning Web Components, and modern Salesforce tooling)
  • Strong automation experience, knowing when to use Flow versus code-based solutions
  • Integration experience connecting Salesforce to third-party tools and platforms (e.g., Marketo, OneTrust, Gearset, HighSpot or similar)
  • Comfort troubleshooting and resolving issues end-to-end - from root cause analysis to fix, test, and release
  • A collaborative approach: you can translate requirements, guide stakeholders, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical partners
  • An ownership mindset: you know when to escalate, when to lead independently, and how to deliver on commitments
  • Alignment with our behaviors: Compassionate Candour, Seek to Understand, We Before Me, Do What You Say, Light Up Learning, and Driven by Passion
