What is a remote safety data analyst?

A Remote Safety Data Analyst is a professional who works primarily from a location outside of a traditional office, such as their home, to collect, analyze, and interpret safety-related data. Their main goal is to identify trends, assess risks, and help organizations improve safety protocols and compliance. They use statistical tools and databases to evaluate workplace incidents, product safety information, or regulatory compliance data, depending on the industry. By working remotely, they use digital communication and data management tools to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.

What are some common challenges faced by remote safety data analysts when working with distributed teams?

Remote Safety Data Analysts often collaborate with global teams, which can present challenges such as coordinating across different time zones, ensuring clear communication, and accessing secure data remotely. Building strong relationships through regular virtual meetings and using collaborative tools is essential for effective teamwork. Additionally, maintaining data privacy and adhering to industry regulations while working remotely requires diligence and familiarity with secure data platforms.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote safety data analyst, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Safety Data Analyst, you need strong statistical analysis skills, attention to detail, and a background in public health, life sciences, or a related field. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, SAS, R, or Python, as well as familiarity with pharmacovigilance databases and safety reporting systems, is typically required. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities help you interpret data and present findings clearly to stakeholders. Job description

Aimpoint Digital is an AI and data consulting firm that turns AI ambition into production reality, built on the data and analytics foundation required to scale. Aimpoint Digital SkillBridge participants will complete an online onboarding program with other Data Engineers, Analytics Consultants, and Data Scientists to prepare for consulting engagements focused on delivering data and analytic advisory and solutions here at Aimpoint Digital. By participating in this program, we anticipate this will better prepare you for project-based client-facing work at Aimpoint Digital. This program is designed to focus on the similarities and differences between classwork you have done before and casework - to give you the leg up when it comes to programming, data literacy, interacting with clients, and delivering quality solutions. Broadly we are searching for candidates with completed Master's level coursework in machine learning, optimization, databases, data visualization, or application development. These could be Navy personnel with the 3211E code, USMC personnel with MOS 8051, Army personnel from Functional Area 49 (FA49), Air Force personnel with 15A AFSC, or other service equivalents interested in developing business focused solutions for organizations that range from Fortune 100 companies to newly founded start-ups.

What you will do

  1. Quickly engage with multiple team members to expedite becoming part of the Aimpoint community
  2. Upskill yourself with a mix of instructor-led sessions, mock projects, async content, and client facing calls / work
  3. Achieve certifications relevant to your career, primarily around Databricks, Snowflake, and Claude

Who we are looking for

We are looking for collaborative individuals who want to drive value, work in a fast-paced environment, and solve real business problems. You are a coder who writes efficient and optimized code. You are a problem-solver who can deliver simple, elegant solutions as well as cutting-edge solutions that, regardless of complexity, your clients can understand, implement, and maintain. You want to drive impact for your clients and do so through thoughtfulness, prioritization, and seeing a solution through from brainstorming to deployment. In particular you have these traits:

  • BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or equivalent experience.
  • Required competency in Python for data manipulation
  • Experience communicating complex topics and results to high-level stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Self-starter with excellent communication skills, able to work independently, and lead projects, initiatives, and/or people

We are actively seeking candidates for full-time, remote work within the US.
