As a Remote RVT, your daily tasks may include client communication, reviewing and documenting patient records, providing telehealth support, and triaging patient concerns online or over the phone. While you will not perform hands-on procedures, you will collaborate closely with veterinarians and other veterinary staff to support diagnostic, follow-up, and client education processes. This role often requires strong independent judgment and self-management, as you are expected to handle multiple cases efficiently from a virtual setting. To excel as a Remote RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician), you need a solid background in veterinary technology, animal care, and a valid RVT certification or licensure. Outstanding communication skills, attention to detail, and self-motivation are essential for supporting clients and veterinary teams remotely. These skills enable effective virtual patient care, accurate record-keeping, and collaboration across geographically dispersed teams.
