Job description

Overview
Odyssey has an exciting new opportunity for a Program Manager supporting the Navy Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP) Clinical Investigation Department (CID) in Portsmouth, VA.
The mission of NMCP is to support the national interests of the United States by providing professional education and development, providing quality patient care, being responsive and ready for deployment, and taking care of each other as shipmates. NMCP conducts biomedical research in combat casualty care, mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), surgery, and anesthesia.

Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist the CTRG with research guidance as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for researchers.
  • Assist the government Principal Investigator (PI) and the Protocol Developer with formulation and the development of the conceptual framework and specific goals of the research, subject to final Government approval.
  • Conduct combat casualty care research seminars for Contractor personnel. Contractor shall not provide education and training to Government or military personnel without prior approval by the COR and the cognizant local Government Staff Training Manager. All education and training materials are subject to final Government approval.
  • Assist CTRG, CID Head and Directorate of Professional Education (DPE) Director with administration of combat casualty care research plans.
  • Supervise Contractor Personnel and ensure adequate management of task order performance in accordance with the PWS to include, but not limited to: Contractor personnel oversight in the animal lab, simulation center, and/or human subject's research.
  • Attend conferences to meet with researchers and develop presentations, as required by the COR.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen.
Clearance: Ability to Obtain Secret.
Education: Post-Doctoral or Medical Doctoral Degree.
Years of Experience: 5 years.
