As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough psychosocial assessments to gather comprehensive information about patients’ mental health status, which informs the development of individualized treatment plans.
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities to deliver effective short-term counseling sessions for clients experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, addiction, and other behavioral health challenges.
• Providing case management services, coordinating care, and following up with clients to track progress and address emerging needs.
• Participating in crisis intervention protocols, including conducting assessments, de-escalating situations, and, when necessary, activating emergency mental health services.
• Working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless client care, including sharing insights and strategies that enhance treatment outcomes.

Your work will primarily involve a diverse client population, including individuals, couples, and families who are seeking help for various mental health issues. You'll engage with clients from different backgrounds, allowing you to develop a well-rounded approach to treatment and gain deeper insights into the psychosocial factors impacting mental health. Your interventions will be crucial in helping clients navigate their emotional landscapes and achieve meaningful growth.

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in behavioral science.
• A current and relevant BBS designation as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC.
• At least 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience.
• Proven ability to effectively work with individuals, families, and groups in a mental health setting.
• Sound knowledge of mental health disorders and best practices in treatment.
• Valid driver’s license and insured transportation for potential home visits if required.

While not mandatory, the following experiences are highly desirable:

• Previous involvement in teletherapy or remote counseling environments.
• Experience with specialized client populations, such as those dealing with complex trauma or substance abuse.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and treatment tracking.
