Position Overview

Crestpoint Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. This full-time position focuses on delivering high-quality mental health services remotely, providing care and support to clients coping with a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. Your expertise will be crucial in evaluating clients, developing tailored treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic interventions that lead to meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to assess clients' psychological, emotional, and behavioral needs, documenting all findings meticulously throughout the treatment process.
  • Create individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs of each client, incorporating evidence-based approaches and therapeutic modalities tailored to enhance recovery and promote well-being.
  • Facilitate effective individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic techniques to foster a safe and supportive environment conducive to healing.
  • Regularly monitor clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and timely interventions for those facing challenges in their recovery journey.
  • Collaborate extensively with interdisciplinary teams, including other mental health specialists, physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive, holistic care for clients.
  • Manage referrals effectively, acting as a key point of contact for clients in need of additional services or specialized care, streamlining their path to recovery.
  • Engage in continuous follow-up with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers as needed, especially for clients requiring inpatient care, to ensure a coordinated approach to their treatment.
  • Assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges, offering guidance and resources for their supportive roles.
Patient Population / Client Focus

At Crestpoint Counseling Center, you will primarily work with adults who are facing a range of mental health conditions, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, trauma-related conditions, and substance use issues. Our client demographics are diverse, reflecting the rich tapestry of Fort Worth, which can enrich your experience and broaden your understanding of varying cultural perspectives on mental health.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
  • Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Strong foundational knowledge of clinical practices and holistic approaches to mental health care.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor in a clinical setting.
  • Proficiency in managing electronic health records; specifically, familiarity with systems like AVATAR.
  • Experience with co-occurring physical and behavioral health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.
  • Knowledge of best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on empathetic engagement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, characterized by a caring and supportive demeanor.
