This role operates entirely in a telehealth framework, allowing our Licensed Mental Health Counselor to engage with clients via virtual platforms. • Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients, meticulously documenting their cases from the initial consultation to discharge.
• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to create insightful, personalized assessments.
• Design and implement tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring comprehensive care tailored to each client's unique needs.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic techniques to promote healing and personal growth.
• Continuously monitor client progress throughout the treatment plan, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals—including mental health specialists, doctors, and social workers—on comprehensive intervention strategies.
• Communicate effectively with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding clients admitted to hospitals to ensure a coordinated care approach.
• Identify and mitigate behaviors that may hinder recovery, ensuring clients stay on their path toward improved mental health.
• Assist family members and primary caregivers in navigating mental health challenges, equipping them with the tools needed to provide support.

In this counseling role, you will serve a broad spectrum of clients with various mental health issues—including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Your expertise will be essential in fostering a safe and therapeutic environment for healing. Our telehealth services particularly cater to individuals who may face barriers to receiving care due to geographical constraints or those who prefer the comfort of receiving therapy in a familiar setting.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Candidates must hold a current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.
• Applicants should possess a passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Applicants must have prior experience providing mental health counseling services.
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, is strongly preferred.

• Experience treating clients with co-occurring disorders, including physical health conditions, mental health issues, and addiction disorders is a plus.
• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) will be beneficial.
• An understanding of pharmacological treatments prescribed by medical specialists and their effects on client mental health is desired.
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills along with outstanding interpersonal abilities.
