Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS/PLS) to support surveying operations on utility, infrastructure, and energy-related projects across Texas and surrounding states. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing survey projects, managing field crews, ensuring quality control, and providing professional oversight for survey deliverables.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects including utility infrastructure, transmission lines, pipelines, and other large-scale development projects.
Responsibilities

  • Provide professional oversight and supervision of survey operations.
  • Review and certify survey work products including plats, legal descriptions, and survey deliverables.
  • Manage survey projects from planning through completion.
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and field crews.
  • Ensure compliance with Survey Board regulations and applicable state standards.
  • Perform boundary analysis, title review, and survey calculations.
  • Support field crews with technical guidance and quality control.
  • Maintain project schedules and ensure deliverables meet client requirements.
Requirements

  • Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) in Texas preferred.

  • Licensure or ability to obtain licensure in surrounding states is a plus (OK, NM, LA, AR).
  • Strong knowledge of boundary, topographic, and utility surveys.
  • Experience managing survey crews and coordinating field operations.
  • Proficiency with modern survey technology and data processing software.
  • Strong understanding of survey regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel as required.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
Preferred Experience

  • Experience with utility infrastructure, transmission, pipeline, or energy-related surveying.
  • Familiarity with Trimble survey equipment and GPS technology.
  • Experience preparing or reviewing ALTA, boundary, and construction surveys.
