Job description

Forthea is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our team and help build and evolve our proprietary marketing technology platform, and internal tools. In close partnership with our analysts, account teams, and clients. You will engage across the full software development lifecycle, focusing on creating scalable solutions that deliver data-driven insights for our team and enterprise clients.

This role based in Houston, Texas with a hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust, scalable backend services using Python and Node.js, primarily data analytics apps and dashboards
  • Design, build and manage Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases that support operational and analytics workloads
  • Build responsive, intuitive user interfaces using React.js/Next.js, HTML, and CSS.Also, build and maintaindashboards in PowerBI/PowerApps.
  • Build and maintain Azure-based and multi‑cloud data pipelines and integrations.
  • Leverage cloud platform services in Azure (and sometimes GCP and AWS) for infrastructure and data storage.
  • Implement scalable APIs, authentication, RBAC, and secure multi-tenant architecture.
  • Implement AI and ML models in collaboration with data science.
  • Participateand lead code reviews, architectural discussions, and agile workflows.
  • Improve performance, reliability, testing, and code quality across the stack.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business and analytics needs into production-ready software.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 7-12+ years of experience developing production software and architecting scalable systems.
  • Experience with Azure and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Strong skills in SQL, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Next.js, Docker
  • Experience building 1-2 full‑stack enterprise applications similar to: multi‑tenant analytics apps/dashboards, unified data warehouse + pipelines, business workflow / planning / automation tools
  • Forward-deployed engineering experience – comfort embedding with non-technical stakeholders, translating ambiguous business problems into working software, and iterating quickly with users in the loop. Equally at home in a stakeholder meeting and a code review.
  • Proven experience building API integrations, data pipelines and managing production-scale constraints.
  • Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks (React.js required)
  • Proven experience in AI coding, automation & code optimization techniques.

  • Marketing analytics, digital marketing or ad tech background
  • Experience with Google Ads and Google Analytics 4 APIs
  • Experience with PowerBI, NinjaCator other BI software
