Job description

Doctor For Royal Caribbean Group

The Doctor is responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to guests and crew onboard a cruise ship. The role includes emergency response, diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of medical conditions in accordance with international maritime and company medical standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide emergency, urgent, and routine medical care to guests and crew
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions onboard
  • Respond to medical emergencies, trauma cases, and critical situations
  • Conduct daily clinic consultations and sick calls
  • Perform minor procedures and patient stabilization when required
  • Prescribe medications and manage ongoing treatment plans
  • Coordinate medical evacuations (medevac) when necessary
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records and reports
  • Ensure compliance with maritime health regulations and company protocols
  • Support infection control and outbreak prevention measures onboard
Requirements:
  • Minimum 21 years old
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)
  • Medical Degree (MD or equivalent qualification)
  • Valid license to practice medicine independently
  • Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience
  • High adaptability to multicultural and dynamic working conditions
  • Willingness to work onboard on rotational contracts (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
  • Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with guests, department heads and crewmembers to foresee and resolve problems and negotiate resolutions.
