You will be responsible for transporting goods over the road (OTR), managing logistics cargo handling, and adhering strictly to safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate tractor-trailers across over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
  • Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, forklifts, or specialized equipment when necessary
  • Navigate using GPS systems to reach destinations efficiently while adjusting routes as needed for traffic or weather conditions
  • Transport various types of cargo including hazardous materials (hazmat), dangerous goods, and other freight requiring specialized handling
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and cargo to ensure safety and compliance with hazardous materials regulations
  • Load and unload trucks at delivery points, ensuring proper securing of freight on flatbeds or roll-off trucks for safe transportation
  • Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, load & unload activities, and compliance logs in accordance with FMCSA and DOT regulations

Qualifications

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with clean driving record
