Job description

The software implementation engineer core responsibility is to successfully test, train and deploy the Kardex FulfillX software platform for our customers.
He/she will develop all training of FulfillX within the outlined scope of work and test all IT hardware and software aspects of the system prior to handover to the customer.
The software implementation engineer will work in a position that is a blend of warehouse operations, software, IT hardware and project leadership.
The software implementation engineer is highly motivated to work in a startup environment and is open for a wide range of tasks to support the growth of the overall team.
Your tasks
Job Purpose
Configure and test Kardex software system to fit customer specifications and efficiently run automated systems to the customer's needs
Develop and execute internal, interface and integrated test plans with the AutoStore system, Kardex software system, client host systems and other technologies that may be integrated with the solution
Work closely with the Integration Engineer and perform end-to-end testing of the entire integrated system with focus on the FulfillX system
Perform all necessary trainings of customer personnel on the FulfillX software system
Support the customer during the post-handover ramp up period
Travel to project sites, for sometimes a few weeks on one trip. Total travel estimate is 30% to 40%
Travel domestically for training opportunities
Job Requirements
Training/Education:
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, IT, or software fields
Excellent communication skills
Excellent troubleshooting ability, software, and IT hardware acumen
Professional Experience:
3+ years' experience with work with software and/or deployments of automation systems, AutoStore experience a plus
Other Experiences:
Experience working in a project team in a project and construction-like environment
Ability to use MS office suite and other similar software programs
Main Accountabilities
  • Contribute to the development feedback of the Kardex functional and interface specifications
  • Develop internal FulfillX internal software test plan
  • Lead the software factory acceptance test for the customer prior to on-site end-to-end testing
  • Develop customer training documentation for FulFillX
  • Perform on-site customer training for FulFillX
  • Develop integrated FulfillX test cases and test plan for the overall integrated system with focus
  • Perform integrated testing of the AutoStore, Kardex software, customer host systems and other integrated technologies for the project
  • Perform on-site customer ramp-up support after handover
