General Position Summary & Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled Finance Automation Developer and Administrator to design, implement, support, and continuously improve automation solutions across finance operations. This role bridges finance and technology by analyzing business processes, identifying automation opportunities, developing scalable solutions, and supporting end users.
The ideal candidate has experience with leading Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism and possesses a strong understanding of software development lifecycle principles, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement practices.

Salary Range: 85,000 - 100,000 annually

Essential Functions
Automation Design & Development
  • Understands and documents business processes to identify automation opportunities and efficiency gains.
  • Evaluates existing workflows and recommends improvements.
  • Creates, configures, and maintains RPA workflows and automation solutions using platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism.
  • Designs scalable and sustainable automation solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Conducts comprehensive testing to ensure automations function accurately and efficiently and troubleshoots and resolves technical issues and process exceptions.

Implementation & Ongoing Optimization
  • Deploys automation solutions into production environments and provides ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and enhancement support.
  • Tracks automation performance, identifies opportunities for optimization, and implements continuous improvement initiatives to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Creates and maintains process documentation, workflow diagrams, technical specifications, testing results, and user guides.

Collaboration & Continuous Learning
  • Works closely with Finance, IT, business analysts, and other stakeholders to align automation initiatives with organizational goals and serves as a liaison between business users and technical teams.
  • Engages with RPA vendors regarding software-related issues and enhancements and participates in professional RPA communities to stay informed of emerging trends and best practices.
  • Works within established project plans and timelines and provides timely updates on project progress, risks, and dependencies.
  • Maintains current knowledge of RPA, intelligent automation, AI-enabled automation, and related technology trends.

Internal Control Responsibilities
Supports Internal Control process which includes understanding, communicating, and complying with defined internal controls as well as suggesting and making modifications to the policies, procedures, and controls to better match the business.
Communicates upward problems in operations, noncompliance with the code of conduct, or other policy violations or illegal actions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in finance operations, business systems, process improvement, or automation-related roles.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more leading RPA platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and SQL skills
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics
  • Proficiency with process mapping and workflow diagramming tools such as Visio or Lucidchart
  • Strong stakeholder management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and drive continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Ability to sit for extended periods of time, up to 3-6+ hours per day; be mobile within an office environment; exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or minimal amounts frequently; keyboard for several hours per day; communicate by phone, in person, and in writing in a professional manner. The individual must possess visual acuity to perform close detail work for operating a computer and examining spreadsheets.
