Remote Rn Loan Repayment information

What are some unique challenges remote RNs may face in loan repayment programs, and how can they address them?

Remote RNs participating in loan repayment programs may encounter challenges such as meeting specific service hour requirements and ensuring eligible employment status, as some programs require in-person or on-site work. Additionally, coordinating documentation and communication with program administrators can be more complex when working remotely. To address these challenges, remote RNs should maintain clear records of their work hours, stay informed about any program updates, and proactively communicate with their employer and loan repayment program representatives to ensure ongoing compliance.

What is the difference between Remote Rn Loan Repayment vs Remote Lpn Loan Repayment?

AspectRemote Rn Loan RepaymentRemote Lpn Loan Repayment

Remote Rn Loan Repayment involves nurses with RN credentials working in healthcare settings, often participating in loan repayment programs. Remote Lpn Loan Repayment pertains to licensed practical nurses with similar programs but typically involves less complex clinical duties. The main difference lies in the level of nursing licensure and scope of practice, impacting job responsibilities and eligibility for certain loan repayment options.

What is a Remote RN Loan Repayment program?

A Remote RN Loan Repayment program is a financial assistance initiative designed to help registered nurses (RNs) who work remotely pay off their student loans. These programs typically provide loan forgiveness or repayment in exchange for a commitment to work in underserved or high-need areas, often via telehealth or other remote nursing roles. Eligibility requirements and repayment amounts vary depending on the specific program and employer. Participating in such a program can greatly reduce the financial burden of student debt for RNs while allowing them to work from home or other non-traditional settings.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote RN in a loan repayment program, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote RN in a loan repayment program, you need an active RN license, strong clinical judgment, and experience in telehealth or remote patient care. Familiarity with telemedicine platforms, electronic health records (EHRs), and secure communication systems is typically required. Exceptional organizational skills, self-motivation, and effective virtual communication are important soft skills for remote work. These competencies ensure high-quality patient outcomes and efficient collaboration while meeting program requirements and maintaining compliance in a remote environment.

OUR MISSION

Perry Health is rethinking chronic care through a fully remote, continuous care model. We provide expert diabetes education and clinical management for Medicare patients, delivered by a comprehensive team of specialized Registered Nurses, Registered Dietitians, and Accountability Coaches.

Our model integrates high-level clinical expertise with real-time data from cellular-connected glucometers and advanced CGM management. By bridging the gap between physician visits with proactive, data-driven support, we deliver life-changing outcomes for our members.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) passionate about remote care delivery. In this role, you will lead diabetes education and management, focusing on medical intervention and acute data management for our members. You will partner with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure members receive expert clinical attention and education to lead healthier lives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide call-based care and clinical management to patients in our Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) program.
  • Triage acute blood glucose readings and monitor real-time data trends via our proprietary EHR.
  • Support members with medication and insulin interventions to ensure safe and effective diabetes management.
  • Deliver empathic, high-touch care that alleviates the emotional burden of managing a chronic disease.
  • Collaborate with the broader care team โ€” including RDs and Accountability Coaches โ€” to reinforce clinical goals and SMART goal progression.
  • Adhere to Perry Health policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures to ensure ongoing clinical quality and compliance.

  • Knowledge: Familiarity with continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) and behavior change theory is a plus.
  • Skills: Motivated learner, willing to acquire proficiency with the necessary technology (computers, software applications, phone systems); experience or training in Motivational Interviewing to support sustainable behavior change is a plus.
  • Traits: Creative thinking, an eye for detail, ability to work independently, a positive attitude, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced atmosphere while collaborating with diverse groups at all levels of the organization.
  • Language: Spanish-speaking highly preferred.

COMPENSATION & PAYMENT TERMS

Contractors are paid on a monthly basis following Net 30 payment terms.

  • Clinical Pay: $20.00 per 20-minute clinical encounter. An encounter is defined as a successful call with a member, primarily spent in live conversation, with chart review time also counting toward this total.
    • Example: Clinical encounters are scheduled in 30-minute intervals. Completing two encounters within an hour that each meet the engagement-time requirement pays a total of $40 for that hour.
  • Non-Clinical Pay: $30.00/hour flat rate for required meetings and training.

OUR VALUES

Our patients are our purpose: We understand that the decisions we make have an impact on our patients' health. We are a healthcare company above all else. The choices we make are always in the best interest of our patients.

Bring your best self: The authenticity of our team drives our innovation. We show up for each other and our patients every day. Your teammates will count on you for motivation and support, and you should expect the same in return. Conversely, recognize when you are not at your best so you can seek support and take time to recharge.

Own your ideas and your results: Each member of the team contributes to the growth of Perry. Identify problems, seek solutions that maximize impact. Ownership is key; seek out support from team members, and take accountability for the results of your efforts.

Move fast, but with purpose: Consistent, rapid growth is expected. Set goals, work with purpose, assess, reassess, and pivot when necessary. Perfection should not impede progress. Ego should not prevent reevaluation. Each day will provide opportunities for learning and growth and will move us closer to our goals.

Good ideas come from anywhere: Ideas, good and bad, come from every level of the organization. Employees at all levels are empowered to share their ideas and feedback. The whole of Perry is greater than the sum of its parts. All ideas are considered, and when a decision is made we will move forward together.
