This role primarily operates in a remote work setting, enabling flexibility while maintaining high-quality therapeutic engagement. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth patient assessments to identify mental health needs and formulate individualized treatment plans based on those findings.
  • Deliver mental health counseling sessions primarily focused on children and adolescents, designing interventions tailored to developmental stages.
  • Support clients facing PTSD and trauma-related issues through targeted therapeutic techniques, reinforcing coping strategies and resilience.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role centers around a diverse patient population, with a particular focus on children and adolescents experiencing a range of mental health issues. Our clients may present with conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and other psychiatric disorders. You will be instrumental in shaping their treatment journey, fostering therapeutic relationships that empower them to navigate their challenges effectively.

Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current, active Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) licensure in New York state.
  • Proficient knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices, with expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, and mindfulness techniques.
