Mental Health Shield Psychological Services is actively seeking a Full-Time Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our remote team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Work Environment

In this fully remote role, you will collaborate within a dynamic and supportive team dedicated to innovating mental health care delivery. Our outpatient setting allows flexibility in working hours while maintaining a schedule of Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You will be provided with the tools and resources to deliver effective therapy, including access to telehealth services, ensuring an adaptable approach to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, determining diagnoses and developing individualized treatment plans aligned with client needs.
  • Manage a caseload of 25-30 clients weekly, providing individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment plans, case notes, and any ongoing diagnosis updates, adhering to our internal policies.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship as you support their journey towards recovery.
  • Design and implement creative intervention strategies that help clients meet and exceed therapeutic goals.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including case managers, medical personnel, and educational staff, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Mental Health Shield, you will work primarily with a diverse clientele that includes children, adolescents, couples, and families. You will have the opportunity to engage with individuals facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and the effects of trauma. Your ability to connect with clients from different backgrounds will be essential in fostering a supportive therapeutic environment.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required, alongside a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical for documenting client progress and collaborating with team members.
  • The ability to establish and maintain stable, appropriate boundaries with clients, while showcasing empathy and professionalism.
  • Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse client base, showing cultural competence across different demographics.
  • Capability to pass a background check.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with community resources and family therapy services, coupled with familiarity in collecting fees at the time of service.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in completing diagnostic assessments (DAs), treatment plans, and clinical case notes in a timely manner.
  • A history of providing therapy across various age groups and family dynamics, confirming your expertise in this field.
