Prior experience with Defence Construction Canada (DCC) and DND projects, bilingual proficiency in English and French, and the ability to obtain or hold a Reliability and Secret security clearance are essential assets for candidates ready to contribute to Canada's most significant defence initiatives. 

Responsibilities 

  • Manage a team in producing architectural design solutions and construction drawings. 

  • Manage a group of architectural staff, leading project meetings, and coordinating all other building disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects. 

  • Performinternal reviews and quality checks of the models and drawings to ensure compliance with BIM standards. 

  • Research materials, products and technologies required for the design and incorporate into the details, specification and other documents. 

  • Manage a team of consultants. 

  • Client communication. 

  • Provide technical and administrative oversight to ensure that both the internal and external client needs are met and that the projects are delivered within cost, quality and schedule targets. 

  • Manage the financial aspect of the project including planning, scheduling, forecasting and staffing and working with accounting to achieve the desired results. 

  • Travel to remote First Nation communities and work sites. 

Qualifications 

  • Registered architect in Ontario (OAA), or eligibility to be registered. 

  • 7+ years experience in a similar role. 

  • Familiarity with both Provincial and National related standards and codes. 

  • Knowledge of BIM principles & workflows, REVIT software, AutoCAD software, Microsoft 365 environment and Bluebeam. 

  • Experience with Visualization software, and Adobe Creative Suite would be considered an asset. 

  • Experience or desire to work with Indigenous communities would be considered an asset. 


 

Compensation:

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $93,700 - 124,200
MB & ON: $95,000 - 130,800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $84,700 - 112,400
