Familiarity with coding software, electronic medical records (EMRs), and healthcare compliance systems is essential. Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and effective communication skills help ensure coding accuracy and collaboration with healthcare teams. These competencies are crucial for maintaining accurate medical records, optimizing reimbursement, and ensuring regulatory compliance in a remote work environment.

Overview:
Sentara is hiring a Wound Care RN for the Innovative Inpatient Care Model in the Brand-New Centralized Virtual Acute Care Department.
This position Part-Time NOT Remote and is located at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville. VA.
Leverage the use of technology to enhance patient care in the hospital and provide support to nurses at the bedside. Virtual RNs can support the team at the bedside to alleviate the workload and provide greater satisfaction for both the patients and the nursing staff. They handle administrative tasks that take significant time but don't require hands-on care. This improves workflow while ensuring patients are fully informed about the care they have received.
Virtual nurses are not a replacement for bedside nurses, instead they serve as an additional member of the hospital care team. Bedside nurses and virtual nurses work together to ensure that patients continue to receive the safest and highest quality of care. Patients communicate with virtual nurses via a HIPAA compliant audio-visual device in the hospital room.
Perform nursing duties via video call with this innovative care model from the Virtual Care hub call center such as admissions, discharges, patient teaching, medication reconciliation, and much more.
